Ecolab is partnering with SMC2 to develop
the Ecolab Digital Center (EDC) in Bangalore,
India. Operated by SMC2, EDC is designed
to help Ecolab achieve its goal to make the
world cleaner, safer and healthier – protecting
people and vital resources – by developing new
digital capabilities to leverage across its global
operations.

Teams at the Ecolab Digital Center will collabo-

rate with Ecolab IT & Commercial Digital Solu-
tions associates around the world on cutting
edge digital innovation to accelerate growth
around key initiatives in analytics, application
development and digital development.

Technology
At Ecolab Digital Center, we have enthusiastic,
ever-growing teams for digital development,
data and automation that work together to
create the best customer experience, and build
intelligent systems based on design thinking
and innovation mindset. The data team at EDC
uses Ecolab’s huge data repository, along with
other customer and third-party data, to create
supervised and unsupervised models and
predictive algorithms to accelerate business
outputs and work together to build and imple-
ment AI models and systems.
EDC also uses Xamarin and Angular/Vue with
Microservices built on Azure or MuleSoft to
deliver unified customer experience. EDC teams
are built to think DevOps, Automation and Cloud
First from the start of production development;
we use Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps and UIPath
to enable this. EDC supports Ecolab Customer
Relationship, Sales and Services using Salesforce
Cloud Platforms. EDC also uses tools and plat-
forms such as Hortonworks, Azure, Spark, and
event-driven architectural frameworks to devel-
op advanced analytics and artificial intelligence
models. We also incorporate predictive model-
ling and deep learning techniques to correlate
the collected data and build these models.
Infrastructure
Ecolab Digital Center is located in the sprawling
Bhartiya Center of Information Technology (more
popularly known as Bhartiya City) in Thanisandra,
Bangalore. Built on the Greek principle of Eu-
daimonia, which means ‘happiness’ and welfare, we
have utilized the 28000 sq.ft. of space to provide
inspiration, be conducive to collaboration with
focus on the work that matters.

Leadership
Our Managing Director Malahar Pinnelli brings
in 17 years of driving Technology Delivery and
creating “top of the class” high performing
global teams. He, along with highly skilled team
leaders, have been responsible for creating and
managing this dynamic new family.
