Activity TSW use the FlipGrid app to record a video of
themselves reviewing their favorite book they have
read so far this year. Students will first introduce
the book title and author and then describe the
plot of the book. Then, the students will state their
favorite part of the book, their least favorite part of
the book, their favorite character, and their least
favorite character, explaining why they choose

what they did for each element. The teacher will
then ask students for volunteers to present their
video. Presenting to the class is completely

TSW use the Class Dojo app in class to write a
journal entry describing their favorite hobby. The
students should brainstorm and plan their entry
before submitting it on Class Dojo. Students will
then type their entry on a Class Dojo post with the
help of the teacher if needed. The teacher will then
review each of the submissions for appropriate and
on task content. Once the posts have been
approved, the students will be asked to comment
on at least two of their classmates’ posts. The
comments must include two things they think their

optional, however students should be aware that
this assignment will be graded so they should
submit their best work.
classmate did well and one area where they could
improve. The students will then go home and
revise their journal entry based on their
classmates’ comments. This should be done in a
comment on the original post.
