1.

In 1-2 paragraphs describe in detail your plan to revise your project based on the feedback you
received. Identify elements that you can modify, as well as any that are not reasonable given time,
expertise, and cost etc.

Based off the feedback I received I would like to revise the medium I had used for project. By this
I mean, I would like to use a much larger canvas, and add new elements to my painting. For example, I
would like to add much more children on my shoulders and have more small symbols throughout the
paintings to represent the things I would strive to keep or use or even utilize. I also wish I had more of a
planned-out sketch with more details, as I had added things on improv. Also, if I had enough money,
rather than using acrylic paint, I would’ve loved to try to use oil paint, and attempt a full self-portrait
with the quote on the sign below my face. Perhaps even adding in a mirrored image behind my and the
students to show a “reflection”, a deeper symbol of what I would want to represent my philosophy. It
also would’ve helped me more if I watched some YouTube videos on painting techniques to really bring
to life the painting and create a much more abstract and deeper painting.

2. Learning Reflection:

Looking back over your project and feedback, describe in 1-2 paragraphs what you have learned about
the process of revision and iteration. Based on your experiences describe how you might approach this
same project if you started again - what would you do differently, the same, etc.?

Once again, I have seen the importance of revision and iteration. Learning from what has been
given back as a criticism not meant to shame or put down what I have built, but rather a collective
statement of what can be made to improve is what greatly contributed to my idea and philosophy as
well. As I had discussed with my peers about the philosophy and finding an ideal platform that best suits
my interests and passion, was what gave fruit to painting and using art to create the image I wanted to
illustrate. After some change made about what I what like to include and what they mean, it took some
time to finally decide on what the focus of the image should be and what is to be included.

Firstly, what I would do differently, besides what I mentioned above, I would also love to
incorporate some sort of technology into the philosophy, for example, they google VR reality, and use it
in some way to bring my painting to life, in an augmented reality at the very least. However, I do not
have the financial expenses for that, although, I could, perhaps, take advantage of the Ignite Lab
available on campus.

3. Alternative Use / Future directions

In 1-2 paragraphs describe how the technology you focused on for your project might be used in a way
you had not initially considered? What are some real or hypothetical use cases of the technology that
we haven't considered?

Although I hadn’t used any actual technology, rather one technology that I would have
alternatively used would be using online digital painting medium. By using a digital medium, I hadn’t
considered it is one other way to express myself without any messes, and with much more functions that
can make the painting a lot more refined and cleaner. Hypothetical speaking, I feel that we could use
digital media as a positive stress-reliever or one way to examine a person’s mindset, almost like the ink
blot testing done within psychology. This would be a great way to test or perhaps, get a feel for the type
of character said person has.
