EXPRESSION MODULE

DESCRIPTION
My philosophy of education is to support, inspire, and encourage
students to grow and become the best person that they can be. Of
course, the curriculum is important, but I believe that being able to
share, learn on your own, and life-skills are the most important
things that a teacher shares with their students.

PROJECT MEDIUM (MULTIMEDIA)

I have chosen to make a blog style website about my teaching
philosophy. Originally, I was going to code a website but I did not
have enough time. I enjoy making websites and customizing them. I
am not the most creative person and media is the best way for me
to show what I want to.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF MULTIMEDIA

Building a website makes it easy to show the viewer what you are
trying to share. You can add a lot of information without the
appearance being too messy. Using Weebly, I was able to create a
very minimal designed website without it appearing like the website
was poorly made.
POTENTIAL CHALLENGES OF MULTIMEDIA
Using Weebly, it was hard to customize the website like I would have
wanted to. I was okay with doing the changes necessary to make
the project look good. Other than that, I understand how to use
Weebly and am able to work through any challenges that arise.

DRAFT / COMPLETED PROJECT OUTLINE (OR STORYBOARD)

The home page of the website will have three keywords for my
philosophy in bold letters. Under that will be the blog post of the
bullet points saying what my philosophy is. The next page is going to
be my why and reasoning behind my philosophy. The last page gives
my reasoning for how we will make the changes necessary to
improve education. The website will be very simple and have mostly
text and plain colors.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My teaching philosophy is all about caring for the students and
teaching them life lessons. Right now schools focus on test scores
and getting students into college. I do not believe that this is the
point of education. I believe that we should be teaching students
how to share, how to cook, how to be an adult, and teach them how
to learn. Tests should not make students feel stressed out and make
them uncomfortable. Testing should be a way to assess what the
students know and give them feedback about what they need to
learn rather than scoring them based on those tests. My Weebly is
super simple and well organized. I prefer when things are straight to
the point and simple.
