Sorting and Patterning Lesson 1

Kindergarten AM

Braiden Demonstrated engagement throughout stations, and actively


participated in activity.

Chase Demonstrated good listening. Needed more guidance in stations,


but completed patterning with help.

Gage Absent

Leila Demonstrated engaged listening and participated in class


discussion. Showed leadership skills at the stations, and actively
participated in activity.

Ethan G Demonstrated good listening and participated in sorting at each


station.

Harper Demonstrated good listening, participated in class discussion, and


actively engaged in each station.

Ronela Demonstrated good listening. Showed leadership skills at sorting


stations, and successfully made AB patterns.

Ethan L Demonstrated good listening. Participated in stations.

Kaymen Demonstrated active listening and participated in class discussion.


Showed good leadership skills at each station.

Jace Demonstrated good participation when necessary.

Brielle Demonstrated good listening and engaged in classroom


discussion. Showed leadership skills at each station, and
successfully created AB patterns.
Aubreigh When participating, she showed engaged listening and a good
understanding of concepts being taught.

Mason Participated in class discussion. Interrupted a few times, but


eventually did take it and raise it. Needed further guidance in
creating AB patterns- was overwhelmed by how many options
there were at each station.

Sawyer P Demonstrated good listening skills, but interrupted class


discussion once. Rather than making his own patterns, he tried to
copy Leila, but when asked to do his own he was capable.

Griffin Demonstrated good listening skills, and participated in class


discussion. Successfully completed AB patterns, and helped peers
complete theirs, too (leadership). Griffin also completed more
advanced patterning by including size and colour instead of only
one attribute.

Marin Demonstrated good listening, and participated in class discussion.


Successfully completing AB patterning, and even attempted to start
ABC patterning.

Carissa Demonstrated good listening, and actively participated in class


discussion. When asked why we sort, she was able to formulate an
answer correctly. Successfully completed AB patterns at each
station.

Landon Demonstrated good listening skills, and actively participated in


class discussion. Needed extra guidance when completing
patterns- alone, he was making random patterns, but when asked
specifically to make an AB pattern, he successfully did so. May
have just been getting bored?

Zaki Demonstrated good listening, and actively participated in class


discussion- began to dicus ABAA patterning (advanced). At the
stations, Zaki was successfully completing ABC patterns without
instruction, and when asked to extend the pattern, he was able to
create ABC/ABC/ABC patterning (advanced).

Prateek Demonstrated engaged listening, and participated in class


discussion. Successfully completing AB patterning at each station.
When asked to make new patterns, he needed help renaming
which object was A and which was B.

Adalind Demonstrated good listening skills, and actively participated in


classroom discussions. Successfully completed AB patterning at all
stations, and helped peers finish theirs, too (leadership).
