Students will be able to:


Describe and explain different stage of frog life cycle.
Link to prior learning: Students will need to be familiar with the following: butterfly life cycle.

productivity and accountability.

Key vocabulary: life cycle, eggs, tadpole with back legs, tadpole with front and back legs, frog,
froglet.

Resources & Time Starter (10 minutes)

In the beginning, the teacher will check the student’s prior knowledge by
asking them:
Essential question:
How many stages in frog life cycle?
Tr: last class we do posters about frog life cycle. And I ask you to review it at
home.

Tr: I will give you 3 minutes to talk with your group. Then I will choose 5
students to come and I will give each one 1 stage to write and draw the stage
that I give him/her.
Tr: turn and talk about the 5 stages of frog life cycle.
Tr: time’s up!
Tr choose 5 students and give each student number of which stage that he/her
will draw and write.

Modeling

Tr: Today we are going to complete about frog life cycle.


Tr will ask the students,
Guided questions:
Tr: who can tell me the stags of a frog’s life cycle in order?
Ss will answer.
Tr: what do you think, a frog can be a predator?
Ss answer.
Tr: a frog is an amphibian, what other organism is an amphibian?
Ss answer.
Tr will show picture of froglet.
Tr: the tail of a froglet gets absorbed by its body?
Ss answer.
Tr show a picture of a larva.
Tr: the larva of a frog can also be called a?
Tr will introduce a PowerPoint that include pictures and the vocabulary about
frog life cycle.
Tr will read the vocabulary and the students will repeat after her.
Tr will translate in Arabic.
