ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to express our profound gratitude to all

the people who have inspired and motivated us to
undertake this project. It gives us immense joy in
presenting our project “Heat Sensor With Fan
Cooling”.
This being our first piece of work in electronics, we
have overcome with great satisfaction and it is rightly
at the moment that we thank to all those who are
responsible for this success
This project provides full spectrum to harden space of
electronics including new material, analysis and
reconfigurable hardware techniques.We are thankful
to all the teaching staff and non teaching staff of our
Sangameshwar College who kindled our interest in
the field of electronics project
We sincerely hope that this project will lay a
foundation for much greater things in future
Project Introduction - This circuit describes
the use of Operational Amplifier and very common
diode IN 4148 Used in such a way that it can sense
the variation in temperature in the ambient for the
environment, if the temperature increases the
predefined value of the preset then it starts the fan for
cooling unless the temperature is again will be the
value. This low cost circuit is very useful for automatic
cooling control in any application

Circuit Description and working -

The figure shows the connection diagram of 741 in

the voltage comparator mode the sensor (diode) is
connected across the inverting and noninverting
terminals of the opamp the R1 limits the current and
the voltage to the reference voltage for the
comparison, the preset of hundred 100K is used for
adjusting the sensitivity of the diode sensor, the
register R4 is used as a negative feedback between
the output and input such that it limits the output
within range.
When sensor D1 senses heat it produces a change in
voltage which is amplified by IC, which act as a
comparator and switches on the Transistor T1 which
controls a fan of 12 volt. The temperature at which fan
switch is on can be adjusted via VR1 100K, The
power supply for the circuit is 12V.
Components Description

The 741 Op-Amp -

714 is a high performers Monolithic operational

amplifier it is intended for a wide range of analogue
application it can be used in two different modes
1) inverting amplifier.
2) non inverting amplifier.
this can amplify as well as compare very small
voltage hence it is been used here.

Resistor -

A linear resistor is a linear passive two Terminal

electrical component that implements electrical
resistance as a circuit element. The relation between
current and voltage is represented by Ohm's law

Symbol -
Capacitor -

A capacitor (formerly known as condenser) is an

electric field this forms of practical capacitors vary
widely, but all contain at least two electrical
conductors separated by a dielectric (insulator)

Symbol -

Diode -

A diode is a specialized electronic component with

two electrodes called the anode and the cathode.
Most diodes are made with semiconductor materials
such as silicon, germanium, or selenium, The
fundamental property of a diode is its tendency to
conduct electric current in only one direction.

Some Practical Use Of Our Circuit

1) This Circuit can be used Widely in Computer

based circuits where temperature regulated
cooling is required
2) This Circuit can be used in industrial furnace
3) This Circuit can be used in Air Conditioner
We Sincerely thank everyone
who showed interest in this
project and its application.
