What standards or LOs were being addressed in the lesson?
Students will be able to know to classify animal to Reptiles and Amphibians

How did you cater for learners with special needs, and for differentiation?
The emergent level: Amal she will take one red card and one envelop, she will open the envelope
and will sort the pictures on the table after that she will use glue to paste the picture. When she
finished the student will wear the card using a thread
The developing level: , Reem she will take 2 plastic dish and one envelope, she will open the
envelope and will sort the pictures on the plastic dish by category Reptiles and Amphibians after
that she will use glue to paste the picture on plastic dish
The master level: Ahmad will take one small book and envelope; he will make some creative like
drawing favorite reptiles and amphibians’ animals and the next page he sticks the pitcher of
animals by use glue and last think he will stick in the notebook.

How did you use positive reinforcement? Methods? For what?


I was praising by saying very good, excellent for the students who were answering correctly for
the question and give them a positive point on the class dojo, so this way helps to encourage the
students to participate and raise their hand to answer.

How did you sequence or scaffold activities so that they built gradually towards the learning
objectives?
at the beginning of the lesson, I told the students to set in the carpet and I set with them. I started
the lesson by guessing. All the student responded good to me and they want to try it. I made a
KWL chart after that I gave them different activity for 3 levels. Finally, I did a formative
assessment exit ticket.

What did students need to know before today’s LOs were addressed? What topic comes next and
how did today’s lesson prepare students for that?)
The unite was about all kind of animals. The students need to know to classify animal to Reptiles
and Amphibians. This lesson will prepare the students to learn what is different between Reptiles
and Amphibians animals.

This lesson for grade one and up because includes about know all kind of animals.

Where did the lesson take place?


The lesson was in the classroom of grade 1A in the Ahmad bin Zayed school on Zkhir .

What were you aiming to achieve in your lesson?


I was trying to teach all kind of animal but only two types of Reptiles and Amphibians, so I was
trying to teach the students the difference between Reptiles and Amphibians with their qualities.
What experiences did you provide to the students to help them to achieve your aims for them?
I let the students organize the picture and with qualities of two types of animal’s Reptiles and
Amphibians in schedule

Yes, all the students were engaged while they are working on their activities and try to make
different between Reptiles and Amphibians.
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
all the students responded to all my questions and they did well in all activity because they know
the difference between the Reptiles and Amphibians.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
I activate the student’s prior knowledge by remember the students last lesson all kind of animals.

The nature of the experience from the students' perspective is they enjoy doing this activity they
think like the game. I put every activity manipulative, so the students will understand more. I did
my goal in this lesson all students understand how to know the difference between the Reptiles
and Amphibians. Also, I put near the door exits ticket. When the student leaves the class, they
will put the exits ticket in the box and take a paper. Additionally, I make the checklist walk
around and ask them questions to see if they understand the activity and give him some advice to
make better next time.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
What are the implications for your professional practice of helping students to enhance their
learning in this particular way? (i.e. what skill will you have to develop or learn? What
professional development will you have to undertake?)
I can enhance student learning of this lesson in the future, I will not keep students on the carpet
for more than 15 minutes to not get bored and misbehave in my lesson. Also, I will make an
extended activity for each centre the activity will be extended to have a come more challenging,
and will put on the smartboard the timer with sound so when the finish time it will make sound so
the student will hear the sound and they will understand the time for the activity finish and start to
clean up their tables and sit nicely on the carpet.
