I am writing to express my interest in applying for an advanced master of Governance and Development at

the University of Antwerp.

I am particularly interested in this program as it matches perfectly my academic background my work

experience. While studying political science at the graduate level I developed a particular interest in
governance and development and issue related to nation’s suffering as a result of poor Leadership. As a
matter of fact my Master thesis was on the refugee crisis in Djibouti, because I had such a strong interest for
this area. After graduation I got myself enrolled to workshops and programs related to policy analysis and
global where I have been able to developer my skills of policy implementation with regards to a specific
matter and also it highlighted the importance of media in regards to policy formation.

I hold a bachelor degree in Biochemistry and a Masters Degree in Political Science and Diplomacy. In a
world where companies expect employees not only to have a sound knowledge of theories but also the
necessary skills and intercultural abilities that is needed for the innovative world, there is a definite need for
international competence, governance and a sound knowledge in development skills, hence one of the
major reason I am choosing this Program.

I believe an advanced master in governance and development is a very enriching program looking at its
content and the practice-oriented education system which give room for International experience, with
these skills and certificate I can compete for jobs at international, innovative companies and contribute my
own quota to the growth and development of any firm I find myself back in my country Cameroon.

The module and course structure of this program, will enable me have a sound knowledge at an advanced
level hence, equip me in forecasting, decision making and analyzing, evaluating results, communicating and
report effectively.

My decision to enroll for this program is to enhance my scientific knowledge through quality research,
teaching and publication. My decision to pursue an advanced master of Governance and Development at
your prestigious university would give me opportunity be a part of the postgraduate program at your
institution to and with the diversity of the program structure, it would provide me the opportunity to
interact, conduct research and study with different nationalities.

I would therefore, feel obliged to be able to secure admission in your prestigious Institution and pursue
my advanced Masters degree in governance and development. I am sure that I will match all the credentials
and will be able to maintain high standards at your university. And after graduating from this program, I
plan to pursue a post-doctoral placement in the area of academic political science, most likely in the
expertise of media and political science. Driven by a lifelong interest in Middle East politics, I am keen to
continue my education in this subject and to perform my own research which can contribute to the
knowledge of the field.
