Each student is required to write an individual report of 1000 words explaining the
process of the video making, his contribution and what he hopes to achieve from the
video.

Assalamualaikum and Hello, my name is Muhammad Faris Asyraf bin Mohd Zawawi,
my matric number is S47188. My group members are Ammar Hashed Ahmed Nasser Mabkhot,
Rusaini binti Mazlan, Siti Sarah binti Abdullah Makmor and Sharifah Nor Samorah binti Syed
Fadzil. We form a group of five based on our lecture’s advice and we decided to choose our
topic for assignment that is “Invitation to Treat” as the topic that we want to discuss. We had
some discussion to choose the topic based on the elements of contracts. We had preferred and
choose the topic based on lecture notes, and discuss it. We discuss together and agreed to
choose this topic after make some research and find a little bit of information throughout our
knowledge and what we have learned on class.

Generally, Contract is known as a legally binding agreement between two or more

parties. To make a valid contract must have proposal or offer which means when one person
signifies to another his willingness to do or not to do something with a view of obtaining the
assent of that other. This are mention under section 2(a) Contract Act 1950 that state proposal
once acceptance, it will treat a contract. On the other hand, invitation to treat is invitation to
potential customer to make an offer once acceptance it will create a proposal not a contract.

An offer must be distinguished from an invitation to treat, buy which a person does not
make an offer but invite another party to do so. Whether a statement is an offer on an invitation
to treat depends primarily on the indention that it is to be binding as soon as the person to whom
it is addresses communicates his assent to its terms. It can relate with case of Payne V Cane
(1789) which stand for the proposition that a questioner request for bids is not an offer but an
invitation to treat. The bidders make the offer which can be accepted by the auctioneer. Another
case that is associate with invitation to treat to the pharmaceutical society V Boots (1953). The
cases state that a display of good in a shop window or at the shelves of a self-service shop, is
generally regarded as an invitation to treat rather than as an offer to sell.
 We choose to carry this topic which is invitation to treat because it is easy to understand.
Invitation to treat is one of the topic we feel is quite challenging but easy to understand. For
selecting the topic, there have another topic that is chosen besides invitation to treat. So we do
choose this topic which is get the high vote from our group members rather than other suggested
topic which is consideration and Soga. After the voting session, we agree to choose this topic
as our assignment video. After we have finished selecting a topic for our video, we are together
looking for information to put in our video. From our first meeting with group member at
Perpustakaan Sultanah Nur Zahirah, we just find a little bit of information because we decide
to find the information on another day we meet again. We just discuss how to make a creative
video about invitation to treat.

All of the members make a revision based on the topic, we all agree based on the topic
which is invitation to treat. We also jotted down our opinion and knowledge about this topic in
a discussion at Perpustakaan Sultanah Nur Zahirah. We met up again to divide the task within
the group members. Rusaini, Siti Sarah and Sharifah Nor Shamira choose to explain about the
definition of the invitation to treat, while Ammar choose to explain about content of invitation
to treat. So, we just make a decision about Ammar will take part of the main topic which is
proposal, I take part of invitation to treat which means talk about the definition of invitation to
treat and put some example and Rusaini, Siti Sarah and Sharifah take part to act in the video
about example of invitation to treat which is about goods on display and purchase online.

For making the video assignment process, there are so many creative ideas that we use
to create this assignment video. For example, we can create a video by making an acting scene
in the video about the topic we choose. Besides, we can also use info graphic video, illustration
or explainer video to create this assignment video and make the video more interesting and
attract others to watch it and make the video not so boring to watch. Example for info graphic
video is we can use any apps such as videoscrib or filmora to create the video.
 We have a discussion about this topic. Firstly, we decided to do a simple acting for our
video, but after discussed, we need to change it into other initiatives due to some of the
difficulties and constraints being faced and consuming more time taken to create an account
and edit it, so we worried that the video to be prepared will not make it on time. So, we had
discussed that we choose to present our video by apps videoscrib, we have try it together using
this app. However, no one us are already accustomed by using this app and it also take a long
time to complete this video due to these several problems.

I personally proposed and gave the idea to create a video of an info graphic video
combined with illustration and more to explanation video using application of videoscrib and
filmora. My teammates agree and we decide to choose videoscrib apps to create our assignment
video because it is easy to us to make a video because our entire group member knows how to
use this app. So we can make this video together because everyone knows how to use this app.
Before that, we decided to search for a video in YouTube and get the idea and combined it a
little bit for our assignment video. This is because we are thinking of an easier way to create
videos and not much work to our group doing during acting in that video. So we choose
videoscrib apps because it is easy to use to create our assignment video and can use facilities
in that videoscrib for free.

My teammate agrees to choose Rusaini as the editor of this video because she was the
only one who often used the apps, have so much experience about editing video and also have
a very creative idea about to create a video. My teammates are responsible to record their own
voice based on the point of the topic that we have divided. Unfortunately, the voice that we
have record cannot synchronize with the video and the files of the voice are not supported in
the video. So, I give my opinion to just let the video being like that, and use the subtitle to make
sure audience who see ours video will understand what we talk about and acting about. Finally,
we decide to edit our video by using videoscrib apps and combining illustration video with
some from YouTube as explanation video to overcome the several problem and difficulties.
 On the next day, we submit our softcopy and post it in YouTube in the morning. That
YouTube link must submit to our lecture which is Puan Junaidah. We also do a short discussion
about this self-reflection report about this assignment. At the beginning, we don’t have our
ideas to start the report, then after we discuss based on the examples from others members, we
already understand and know how to complete the report.

Throughout the creation of this video, the contribution that I have given to my group
assignment is helping in the process to find the information, editing the video and give the
opinion based on my understanding that I have learn in the class or by reading the article in the
website and also refer our lecture note. My teammates are really helping a lot in making sure
the assignment finished on time, they have done their best on every part of creating a video
process and assignment.

Last but not least, I hope the video that we have made in this assignment will give the
knowledge and benefit to others and share our knowledge and what we understand to everyone.
I also hope the information that we provide can improve the understanding and knowledge
about our topic which is consideration as the one of the elements in the contracts for our
classmates. I also want to thank to my groups members for their efforts and contribution in
their opinion which is also increase my knowledge and understanding about the elements of
the contracts, especially the consideration. I hope that the knowledge that we have about the
elements of the contracts are useful for the study and future, because all of us will bound to the
contract one day. They also can share the knowledge to their friends and family.
