Commitment to the Profession


Comments: Nawar was punctual and well prepared. She used teacher talk effectively. She
tried her best to create an environment of respect and rapport. Nawar started the class in a
positive mood and set proper expectations and subject objectives.
Planning for Learning
Comments:
Nawar greeted the students and asked them to sit on the carpet.Then she introduced the
lesson objectives. She activated prior knowledge and then proceeded to explain the PPT.
She used engaging in warm-up activities.
Nawar focused primarily on providing students with individual work to meet the lesson
objectives. Subsequently, students, assisted by her worked in groups to complete the
assigned classroom tasks.
✓ Nawar was positive and encouraged student participation.
✓ Consideration was given to visual, auditory and tactile/kinesthetic learner styles as
well as the different level of competencies within the class. By targeted questioning
and allocating roles, Nawar also encouraged student participation.
Managing Learning
Nawar organised the physical space and arranged the room properly to suit her activity.
Used excellent questioning and discussion techniques and the quality of her questions were
relevant to the lesson objectives. She divided the class into four groups and assigned each
an activity.Those who finished early were allowed to complete the worksheet about
animal’s habitat.

Implementing Learning
By guiding the student through the learning opportunity, Nawar allowed students to take
control of their learning and discover critical concepts with the help of their peers and
teacher input where required. Nawar used the lesson resources well, not only to generate
ideas but to elicit concepts about animals and their habitats in a way that helped students to
understand the associated thoughts and objectives detailed in Lesson Plan. The classroom
tasks were set up and explained quickly for students
Assessment
Comments:
The lesson was broken logically into stages, and the planning was accurate in terms of
timing and content.
Nawar ensured that every the LTs were achieved by roaming around and observing
students’ work. All the activities were suitable for all the students. She used observation,
and oral questioning techniques to check if her lesson was going well.
Nawar monitored the activities effectively.
Comments:
Action Plan: You seem very comfortable with the students. You display confidence and a strong
sense of subject expertise. Clearly the students are benefitting from your presence in the
classroom. EXCELLENT WORK!
