WP3:

● Exigence: ​To persuade a professor into working with me in a study.

● Purpose: ​My goal for this WP3 was to create a well written and persuasive email to a
professor about furthering my research on the topic I did for my WP2.
● Identity: ​The topic that I did for my WP2 was about peer-pressure that students go
through in their academics. So, I wanted to “further my research” by finding professors
that are in the fields of education and psychology to cover the topics of peer pressure
and academics.
● Audience: ​intended professor; Ann Martinelli, Ed. D
● Context: ​When it comes to furthering research on any topic, it is a helpful thing to find
advice from a scholar or a professional who knows or is familiar with the topic you are
talking about.
