Any accomplishment requires elbow grease or hard work from specified people. This

protect is not different.

We specially extend our gratitude to our Professional English Teacher, Mrs. Boots

Celerico-De Leon because we managed to complete this said research work by her guidance

and supervision every step of the way. Thus, this task cannot be entirely finished without the

effort and spontaneous action of the group members. Sincere appreciation to Eunice Daria’s

family that welcomed the whole group to their humble home for the completion and

betterment of the said task.

We also sincerely give credits to our fellow grade 10 completers who answered the

survey forms – participated and made the study reliable. To our beloved parents who gave their

full support and financial assistance – cooperated without faltering. But more than anything

else, the glory and victory must be given to Our Father God – for His face shines upon the

assigned task, giving wisdom and determination to the group all the way through out.
ABSTRACT

This study shows the list of common reasons from top to bottom why grade 10

students in Mariano Ponce National High School got late as they went off school. Also to give

awareness on the usual case of their tardiness – talks about merely of punctuality. Moreover,

this aims to formulate solutions or cure regarding the issue.

Consisting of nine, a group of grade 10 completers from section Emilio Jacinto, intensely

focused to the certain issue. The proposistion on this topic is filtered and formed by the use of

quantitative method techniques.


CHAPTER 1: THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

1.1 Introduction

Tardiness is then quality or fact of happening or arriving after the expected usual time

over the course of a school day. Causing the students to be late are couple of reasons –

statement or an issue than explains why something is the way it is intelligibly.

As a student, reasons of unpanctuality signifies the failure of an individual to arrive early

on call time. This congenital occurrence proves the apparent lack of self-regulation and

discipline regarding specified reasons among grade 10 students of Mariano Ponce National High

School.

Thus, this study will deliberately show the lists of tardiness’ reasons from most to least

among grade 10 completers – what are the statements/reasons that got the highest place in

the list.

The researchers study aims to determine the reasons and effects of the said issue aboyt

tardiness among grade 10 poncenians.

This study aims to answer the following question:

 Why do the students happen to be late in school?

 What are the effects of tardiness for grade 10 competitors?

 How to resolve the issue of tardiness?


1.4 Significance of the Study

The main objective of the study is to determine the reasons why grade 10 poncenian

appear to be unpunctual. Thus, this aims to determine the corresponding effects of the

students tardiness and now we can resolve this issue.

The evidens of grade 10 competitors tardiness seriously give negative effects or

disadvantages toward the students performance, other learning areas, and in their school

activities.

1.5 Scope and Delimitation of the Study

He study focused on the reasons of students why they always got late. The result of the survey

will contribute formulating hypothesis of the solutions, addressing the problem being identified

that needs appropriate action. The researchers choose limited respondents section to answer

the given survey form. Meanwhile, All grade 10 students cover the survey. The survey was

conducted last February 12, 2018, main beneficiaries of the study.


CHAPTER 2: METHODOLOGY

2.1 Research Design

The researchers use quantitative method approach be more informative and

knowledgeable and be able to provide the beneficiaries of this study with more relevant

information. Quantitative type refers to objective measurements and the mathematical,

statistical, or numerical analysis of data collected through polls, survey or questionnaires.

2.2 Respondents of the Survey

Minimum of one hundred (100) respondents of Mariano Ponce National High School

specifically those who are in Grade 10 for the school year 2017-2018 will be the primary

respondents of this study. Through them, the researchers will be able to know the common

reasons of the students tardiness. The respondents will be informed regarding the main

objective of the research study, and the reasons why the study is going to be conduct. The

respondents must have the right to be informed regarding the methods of the study before

they become part of this research.

2.3 Research Instrument
