Hon’ble___________ Date: _________________

Member of Parliament.

Respected _______,

We, the lakhs of the retirees as well as the senior citizens from all over India including CPSUs,
State PSUs and the other private sector companies under EPS 1995 scheme, for the purpose of
pension are facing lot of hardships in meeting out our daily financial requirements and we are agitating
for the last many years including continuous agitation for the last 300 days including chain hunger
strike and other rallies at all level but the Govt. of India has not inclined to the genuine demands of
the retirees.

Hon’ble __________, we contributed EPS 1995 for 30-35 years of our service to the extent of
Rs. 417/- per month / Rs. 541/- per month / Rs. 1250/- per month but on retirement we are getting
meagre pension ranging from Rs. 200/- to Rs. 3500/- only, whereby we are being deprived of our
legitimate right of pension on actual salary even though the Supreme Court of India has also decided
the matter in the favour of the retirees but the govt. is delaying the matter by filing review petition.

Through this notice, we the retirees/ senior citizens do hereby request your honour to bring
home the matter to the kind notice of Worthy PM and discuss the same in parliament.

We are enclosing herewith the memorandum submitted to Worthy Prime Minister and
highlighting the burning issues for persuading your honour to take up our issue by writing to Worthy
Prime Minister and take up the matter in the parliament.

EPFO allured the present EPS 1995 pensioners in 1996 that this scheme will be by 10% or more
will be beneficial pension scheme than the Govt Pension scheme existing at that time. It was also
promised to that ROC will be returned to the nominee after the death of the employee but this clause
was unilaterally withdrawn in 2008. In 2014 calculation of pension was also changed over to 50 months
average instead of 12 months average. As such, Govt. appears to be playing with the fag end of the
retirees from the very existence of the scheme.

Main demands of the retirees are as under:

1) Withdrawing the interim advisory dated 31/5/2017 and giving pension EPS 1995 the choice
of higher pension as per the Hon. Supreme Court.

2) Minimum pension to be enhanced to Rs. 7500/- plus DA.

3) Provide free medical facility to all EPS 1995 pensioners and their spouses.
4) EPS 1995 retired employee who are not members of EPS 1995 scheme be allowed Ex post
Facto membership by recovering contribution with interest and allowing them their due arrears.
Otherwise they may be granted fixed Rs. 5000/- per month towards pension.

We wish our genuine demand will reach the Govt with your strong support & recommendation.

Encl: Copy of the memorandum.

Yours Sincerely,

(Amarnath) (Jatindervir Singh)
