Be careful of what you eat

It is important to treat farm animals in an appropriate way for them to produce healthily

and safely. Little by little, countries are changing their method of how they should treat farm

animals to produce more meat and eggs. Farm animals are being kept in small cages and are not

being let outdoors. This also affects both the animal and the human being because we are

consuming their eggs and meat and its bad for us. Although some believe that continuing the

method of the westerns are treating the farm animals is still okay to do because they are

supplying more meat and eggs, people should consider changing the method because the animal

will be healthier, produce safely and be healthy for humans to consume.

With the condition with these animals are being treated at the farm are more likely to die

faster because of their health being. In the book “The Way We Eat,” by Jim Mason and Peter

Singer, talks about the animal's decent life. They mentioned the animal's life that people don't

notice what's happening with the animals. They said “the level of ammonia in the air from their

accumulated droppings stings the eye and hurts the lungs. Slaughtered at only 45 days old, their

immature bones can hardly hear the weight of their bodies. Some collapsed and unable to reach

food or water, soon die, their fate irrelevant to the economics of their enterprise as a whole.”

(Mason, Singer). These animals are being put through danger and are slowly dying because of

their health. They cant hold the weight of their bodies because of the harsh chemicals. They are

stuck in one place and are not being able to go outside. The animals need to be given proper food

for them to live and be let outside to breathe. They can not last long enough to live for more than

they are expected to live for.

Putting multiple animals in a small cage will not help them produce safely, they will be

producing but in a dangerous way. Some can not deny that putting several animals together can

produce more meat and eggs and it doubles the amount. Having more is a good thing for humans

however if they keep producing dangerously, it can lead to less meat and eggs because they

could damage the food by putting too much weight and they can harm it by eating or destroying

it. If we let the animals free outside it is more likely for them to produce in a safe environment

and cleanly. It will also guarantee food that is safe for consumers. They will also live longer, be

stronger, and healthier.

People should consider planting seeds to grow organic fruits, vegetables, and many other

things. This way is better and could help save money when going to the stores. Fruits and

vegetables are very expensive at stores. Having fruits in your backyard is better, no need to waste

more money, it’s organic, and safe to eat, knowing that it's in your backyard. For example, my

dad planted orange tree, peaches, and limes. Not only am I saving money but I get to have

multiples of amount. Your trees will produce an amount of fruits. Another example, my neighbor

recently planted pomegranate in his backyard. They are already producing a lot and he's saving

money as well. Not only does he have a pomegranate tree, but an orange tree, he used to have

chickens in his yard and they would eat their eggs which are organic and healthier.

The farming industry is changing and it’s not a good change and some people don’t know

what is happening. This change is very dangerous for us consumers because we don't know what

we're eating, we don't know if it's healthy or not. It is going inside our bodies and its important to

know what we're eating. Organic foods are very expensive to buy and some people buy foods

that we know that is not healthy for us but we buy it because of how expensive organic is and

some people don't have the money for it. Planting trees and growing eggs a better way to protect

yourself and the animals.
