18. Eco-label ***II (debate)

Mr Schnellhardt introduced his recommendation for second reading, drawn up on behalf of the: Commit-
tee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy, on the common position adopted by the
Council with a view to adopting a European Parliament and Council regulation on a revised Community
eco-label award scheme (10656/2/1999 4 C5-0223/1999 4 1996/0312(COD)) (A5-0054/2000).

The following spoke: Flemming, on behalf of the PPE-DE Group, Rosemarie Müller, on behalf of the
PSE Group, Schörling, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, Sjöstedt, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group,
Goodwill and Wallström, Member of the Commission.

Mrs Schörling pointed out that amendments 7 and 8 only existed in English (the President replied that he
would make sure that the texts were available in all languages in time for the vote).

Mr Blokland introduced his recommendation for second reading, drawn up on behalf of the Committee on
the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy, on the common position adopted by the Council
with a view to adopting a European Parliament and Council directive on the incineration of waste
(11472/1/1999 4 C5-0274/1999 4 1998/0289(COD)) (A5-0056/2000).
