Our meeting was opened with the real
bell this week but no gavel by Co-
President Evie Michon. Frank May
read a saying by Maya Angelou, and led
the Pledge of Allegiance. Our sole
guest today was speaker Kristin Jones.
The attendance was embarrassing low,
and the Club will have to cough up
some bucks to meet our minimum head
count for dinner. We know this is the
Holiday season with many competing
priorities, and we hope Moraga Rotary
ranks well among them.

Thommason reports “the Interact Club
made 60 lunches and dropped them off
at the Operation Dignity homeless
shelter! The event was really
successful and she was emailed by one
of their employees, who said everyone
enjoyed them. Happy Holi…”

Angelo Costanza had a HB for Cal
football picked for the Redbox Bowl
game against football power Illinois U.
on Dec 30 . . . Fran Rathjen brought an
assortment of cookies from Willow
Springs, and she has good hopes for
the football success of her Ohio State
Buckeyes . . . . Debbie Roessler and
Lou Lou Lou attended a Bocelli concert
at the new Chase Center in SF (where
some guys in Dubs uniforms play), and
she said it was spectacular, well worth a
HB.
Frank May gave a High Five for his
excitement about the new ideas his
team is working on for “A Nite at the
Races” , and for his son who has a solo
art show at the Citrus Salon in beautiful
downtown Martinez. . . . Gary Irwin
gave 14 HBs for his granddaughter’s
14th birthday the day before, and
another 2 HBs for the # 2 Kansas
Jayhawks men’s basketball team.
admission is a new unwrapped toy for
some lucky tot. The Club will donate a
case of wine to this community activity,
and our Troop 246 Boy Scouts will
attend and help.
Raffle: The winning ticket worth $10
this week was held by Angelo
Costanza, but he couldn’t find the green
marble worth an extra $4.

(which you have already paid for). If
you haven’t reserved by now, you

Barbara Bruner is now at Manor Care ~Program~

after dealing with heart and sciatic nerve
issues; we hope to see her at the
Holiday Party. . . . Herb Wehmeyer was
scheduled for a new knee this week, but
he hopes to attend the Holiday Party
too.
A Holiday Toys for Tots Drive
sponsored by the Moraga Police will
be held on Friday December 13 at 6
pm at the Hacienda. Free beer, wine,
and hors d’oeuvres, and your price of

Our speaker today was Kristin Jones,
a Wellness and Lifestyle coach with her
own company. Co-Pres Debbie met
her when she took a class from her at
Civic Park in Walnut Creek, and now
she is coaching Debbie. Kristin was
previously a Special Education resource
specialist for the San Ramon School
District for 17 years, working with
children with learning disabilities.
In early adulthood, Kristin suffered from
an eating disorder brought about when
an uncle made a heartless and
insensitive comment about her weight,
embarrassing her in front of most of her
family. She has fought this disorder
most of her life, but has used her
methods of coping with it to help others.
