Important Instructions
1. Candidates are to handover the Admit Card (with a passport size colour photograph a xed- preferably
the same one printed on the Admit Card), to the invigilator in the examination hall. Candidate is also to
sign on the Admit Card in the presence of the invigilator. If successful in the examination, candidates are
to later carry another copy of Admit Card and the same passport size colour photograph with other
documents for veri cation during the medical exam (at the hospital) and on the day of admission (at the
school). Candidates are required to return the Question Booklet along with the OMR Answer Sheet to the
Invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
2. Candidates are to produce a photo identity proof (with date of birth) to the invigilator.
3. As soon as Admit Card is received/ downloaded by the candidates, they are to check the details carefully
and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of the respective Sainik School immediately along with proof
of the correct details as applicable. Similarly complaints/ grievances about the examination, if any, may
be brought to the notice of the respective Sainik School within 48 hours after the examination.
4. Candidates are responsible for safe custody of their Admit Card. The Admit Card is not transferrable to
any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable o ence. Candidates are also not allowed to
engage a scribe to appear on their behalf.
5. Candidates must report to the examination centre at least 1 (one) hour prior to the commencement of
examination. However entry into examination hall will only be 30 (thirty) minutes before the scheduled
commencement of examination after physical veri cation. Candidates will not be admitted to the
examination, if they report 10 (ten) minutes after the scheduled commencement of examination.
6. Request for change of venue (examination centre) will not be entertained. If candidates appear at an
examination centre other than the one indicated in their Admit Card, their candidature will be cancelled.
7. Only Girl candidates who have registered for admission to Class VI in Sainik Schools at Bijapur,
Chandrapur, Chhingchhip, Ghorakhal, Kalikiri and Kodagu are permitted to appear in AISSEE-2020 at the
allotted exam centre within the respective state. At all other exam centres belonging to other Sainik
Schools, Girl candidates are not permitted to appear in the exam. If such cases emerge later, their
candidature will be cancelled at any subsequent stage.
8. Candidates are not allowed to bring any baggage/luggage or valuable/costly item to the venue of
examination. The Centre Superintendent shall not be responsible for any loss of belonging of candidates.
9. The following items are prohibited at the exam premises:- (a) Mobile phones or any other communication
device including bluetooth etc (b) Textual or stationery material such as a book, paper, formulae, log
tables, whitener, slide rule (except blue or black ball point pen) (c) Personal items such as wallet, purse,
cap, goggles, jacket, food, drinks, pointed instruments etc. Any infringement of these instructions will
invite disciplinary action and withdrawal of candidature.
10. Candidates are advised to bring blue/black ball point pen to the examination hall for lling up the entries
on OMR Answer Sheet. Use of pencil or any other writing material is not allowed.
11. Candidates will occupy only the seats allotted to them and are not allowed to change their seats or
examination hall.
12. Candidates are advised to read these instructions as well as listen to the instructions of the invigilators at
the examination centre before commencement of the test.
13. Candidates will be given the OMR Answer Sheets, 15 ( fteen) minutes before the commencement of
examination.
14. At rst, candidates are required to ll up their particulars in the OMR Answer Sheet. They should note
that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in lling up details in the OMR Answer Sheet, especially with
regard to roll number, examination centre code, Question Booklet set and OMR responses, will render the
answer sheet liable for rejection. The onus of lling the correct information in relevant elds of the OMR
Answer Sheet is solely on the candidates who may consult the invigilator in case of doubt.
15. Similarly, the question booklet will be supplied 15 ( fteen) minutes before the commencement of the
examination. The candidates are not allowed to open the question booklet before the scheduled time of
examination.
16. There will be 3 sets of each question booklet viz. ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ sets.
17. Candidates are required to check carefully that the question booklet number is printed on the cover page
and the question booklet contains the same number of pages as mentioned on the cover page.
18. In case of any discrepancy in the question booklet, candidates should immediately report the matter to
the invigilator.
19. Candidates should completely darken the circle so that the letter inside the circle is not visible. Darken
only one circle for each answer. The correct and wrong methods of darkening the circle on the OMR
Answer Sheet are given in the example at the end.
20. There would be NO negative mark for a wrong response.
21. Candidates are required to strictly adhere to the rules of examination. In the event of any candidate
resorting to the use of unfair means or misconduct in the examination hall, he/ she will be withdrawn
from the examination and his/her candidature will be cancelled. Since it is a competitive examination,
candidates are advised not to indulge in any act of indiscipline, including assisting other candidate(s),
which may seriously mar their own chances of selection.
22. Once the test is over, candidates are to ensure that the OMR Answer Sheet, Question Booklet and Admit
Card are all handed over to the invigilators without fail. Candidates are not allowed to leave the
examination hall before the OMR Answer Sheet, Question Booklet and Admit Card are collected and
counted by the invigilators.
23. In the event of any uncertainty due to reasons beyond control, Sainik Schools Society reserves the right to
delay or postpone the examination or conduct the exam again at a single or multiple examination
centre(s). Candidates are requested to bear with the inconvenience and cooperate.
24. Candidature for the examination is provisional. Final selection will be subject to performance in the
written examination, quali cation in medical examination and veri cation of original certi cates such as
proof of Date of Birth, Domicile, Category etc. If discrepancy is found at any stage of the admission
process, the candidate will forfeit his/ her seat.
25. Candidates are to mention their name, roll number, examination centre/ city name and year of
examination in all correspondence with the respective Sainik School.
26. Candidates may visit Sainik Schools Society Web Portal (www.sainikschooladmission.in) or website of the
respective school regularly and follow any advisory on the examination.
