MAD PROJECT
Project Objective:
 Analyse the key areas where under privileged children face issues during learning
 Introduce Digital learning to children in government school and assess the impact
created on their learning patterns
 Provide a common repository of video resources on topics that they face difficulty to learn
 Conduct pre test and post test after showing videos to assess the impact created on their
learning

Impact created on society:


 As part of MAD project we went to near by Govt school and Private school. We found lot
of disparity in education standard, Quality level, resource availability in both schools
 We tried to bridge that gap as part of our MAD project by providing resources to
government schools
 Initially we have assessed the students capability to learn using digital resources, difficult
topics and their willingness to explore e-learning
 After analysing the difficult topics that government school students find, We have helped
them by introducing enhanced digital learning ways to mitigate their difficulty level
 We also created interest in students towards digital learning through external motivation
like conducting exams and making people special who topped the exam
 We have used latest technology like Vizia for monitoring the progress of students and also
implemented goal gradient mechanism to motivate them to complete videos
 Collaborated with social responsibility club in our college as part of sustainability of the
model and every year club will take responsibility of handling digital repository

Impact created on me and my team:


 After observing the disparity between government and private schools, we are able to
realize the importance of position that we stand in now
 Post field visit after observing the economic and resource availability differences, we
understood the magnitude of impact that we can create and tinge of giving back to society
inculcated
 It helped us to realize the fact that social service will bring mental satisfaction during our
hectic schedule
 Post testing the prototype in school and analysing the results, it boosts our confidence that
we could change the world
 This also helped to work as a team and mitigated the risk created by bottleneck (Only one
person knows Tamil)
 It also provided an opportunity to learn about different technologies like Vizia, EdPuzzle
etc. which helped us to monitor/track the students’ progress
