Educational Principle:

There are lots of changes with regards to education since the day I started
learning. I have experienced a traditional style of teaching before and now I am experiencing the
modern style or 21st century style of teaching and learning process. The transition is very
evident. But as a student who witnessed this transition my views and opinion about the style of
learning also evolve. In my own opinion, these are the things that should be given priority in
education:
1. Good Manners and Right Conduct
2. Basic Skills in Learning
3. Comprehension not Memorization
4. Good Communication Skills
5. Analytical Thinking
6. Applications of Learning
7. Reflective Aspects
P ersonal Reflections:

During my observations in Lipa City National Highschool, a lot of things happened

unexpectedly. There is one time that I’ve got to get into conversation with the teachers about
some professional matters which I do not usually do. They have talked to me with concern and
interest that I could get idea on how things work inside the classroom, in a view of a teacher.
Besides that, I have also got to have a chance to speak with the students about how environment
affects their learning.
Given a chance to experience an actual teaching and learning process in a classroom, I
am grateful for this privilege. For me, learning inside a classroom environment is good but
seeing things actually happening is much better. We do not only learn by knowing the things we
should know but we are learning by doing the things that we should do when we are already
teachers.

I am looking forward to have more observation session with my resource teacher and
varied students to familiarize with it before I become student teacher. I know that I have a lot to
learn and it is keeping me excited to go to school and discover things that would probably help
me grow and become competent in my chosen profession.
