IELTS Important Points

This is to bring in your concern a few important things which may prove helpful to you for the
preparation of IELTS examination.

Regarded IELTS exam booking-

1. There are two institutes to book the slot for IELTS examination- IDP & British Council;
you can book your exam with any of these. Value remains the same.
2. IELTS test is conducted in two versions- academic and general. You have to opt
for general testing as this one is easier and mandatory for those who are immigrating
for education and work purposes. The test includes listening, reading, writing and
speaking.
3. Book the slot for examination as soon as possible and at least keep three months in
your hand for the preparation of the examination, which means book the exam date
after three months from the date of booking.
4. In case, the secondary applicant is willing to appear for the exam, we advise you to
book the exam slot for him 15 days prior to yours (the main applicant). So that, you
can be benefited with his/her experience and score better.
5. Main applicant need to score CLB 10 in IELTS exam, 8.5 in Listening,8 in reading, 7.5 in
writing and speaking each. For the secondary applicant it is 6 in each of the module.
6. One more suggestion for you is to give exam in any of the smaller city as they are little
enhancing in marks.

Regarded IELTS exam preparation-

1. We provide you two types of training-

Online – in which, you will receive 2 min IELTS automated tutorial calls twice a day, total 5
days a week, as per the timing preferred by you. (Both the main and secondary applicant will
receive them separately).

Offline-

2. Books are provided to you, which contain study material for both of the versions
3. For writing section, you need to practice letters and essays, during the test you are
supposed to write- one essay containing 250 words and a letter comprised of 150
words. Use only pencil and the provided sample answer sheets for the practice of
the same. Avoid using blank paper sheets for the writing practices.
4. Please do not feel satisfied even if you score 35/40, go through the writing again
and find out the mistakes that cause you to lose 5 marks. Make sure they are not
repeated next time.
5. Speaking test is conducted two to three days either before or after the L, R, W
exams. The venue for this test may vary time to time.
 6. The format for speaking test- this is a one to one testing, conducted inside a room
usually in any of the hotels. You will be offered a pen and paper by the examiner.
You can pen down the points striking your mind. The test will be conducted in two
sections. Part I- introduction and Part II extempore, in which, you have to speak on
the given topic for two minutes.
7. IELTS is the only test that can approve your skills to immigrate to Canada. Practice well
and score well if you want to
succeed.
8. Timings to book the session- 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM (Monday to
Friday)
