about ESUMC’s

CALL upcoming staff &

position changes!

Scott Kuhnle has been attending seminary part-time (Evangelical in Myerstown,

Lebanon County) for the past several years and has been making steady progress
through the ordination process of the United Methodist Church. He was recently
approved as a Certified Candidate on the North District of the Eastern PA Conference.
This represents a major milestone on the way to ordination. Once certified, a candidate
can seek licensure as a local pastor, and that process is underway right now with the
Bishop and Cabinet.

The Staff Parish Relations Team (SPR) is hoping that Scott can be licensed, then can
receive an appointment from the Bishop to be a half-time licensed local pastor to
ESUMC. Scott will still be full-time, and the other half of his duties will continue in the
area of youth ministry, where he has faithfully worked for more than ten years. We have
been so blessed by his ministry and want to do all we can to support his continued

Save on Your Income Taxes
by Donating Stock

ESUMC has established a brokerage account to

receive donations of stock. Stock donations are not
only for the rich. Anyone could see tax benefits.
The Dow is up about 20% through November this

value, you will likely bypass taxes on the gain, while
you may also be able to deduct the full value of the
donation.
