- AGS is an ISSN Program in which I studied through an
interdisciplinary curriculum and challenged myself by taking
various AP and honors classes. This is a rigorous program that
requires students to take these high level classes, 4 years of a
foreign language, a capstone, and provides a travel opportunity
each year within the program.

June 2018 - July 2018: CIEE Study Abroad
- Received a scholarship to go study Tropical Biodiversity
Conservation in Costa Rica for 3 weeks. Traveled across the
country to various ecosystems to study each region.
Work Experience Thundercloud Subs / Sandwich Maker
June through Fall 2019, Austin, TX
- Worked as a sandwich maker and helped customers, cleaned the
store, organized ingredients, and opened/closed the store
Extracurricular Aug 2016 - present: Marching Band - Clarinet

- Marching band required a significant amount of time during the
summer. Alongside this, there were before and after school
practices through the week with performances at football games
on Fridays and various competitions on weekends.
Aug 2017 - May 2019: Orchestra - Clarinet

- Band and strings come together to play in a full orchestra
annually. We played classical music that tends to be disregarded
in the band world and expands our musical vocabulary as
musicians. I would participate before school rehearsals and
during my honor band period to prepare for various concerts and
Orchestra UIL.

- I played Jazz as a hobby for several years and wanted to widen
my range as a musician by playing a secondary instrument and
playing music that is not traditionally played by clarinetists.

- I have been in the top band for four years straight in high school.
Honor band meets everyday throughout the school year with
before school rehearsals and sectionals.

- Prepared papers and acted out simulations in a realistic manner,
whether it be for a crisis room or a General Assembly room. Went
to local and state-wide competitions, and worked with students
around the state of Texas.
Aug 2018 - present: Peer Assistance and Leadership Service

- PALS is a school district peer mentoring program. I mentor
students at Barton Hills Elementary and work and assist them in
their schoolwork or play games to form a bond. I mentor and
assist with music therapy at Rosedale School that serves students
who have significant disabilities.

- Held weekly meetings to plant, maintain, and harvest the
on-campus garden. We would work with local nurseries, sell
plants to other schools, and assist schools with their gardens.
April 2018 - present: Ultimate Frisbee
Grades: 10, 11, 12

- Carry out practices three times a week and compete in various
tournaments or scrimmages. Places 4th in the State tournament
and play weekly pick-up games.

- Worked within a troop of girls and carried out various community
service projects and helped solve issues within the community
while learning the values of sisterhood and leadership.
Leadership Section Leader - Band
Grades: 12
- Worked with all the students in the clarinet section and
demstrated how to march at a high level. Critiqued and lead a
large group of people at different skill levels.
Volunteer Service AGS Volunteer Hours
- 80+ hours from various service activities. Some activities
included: food and clothing drives, building a garden for low
income families, and doing various park clean-ups
Capstone
- Worked with students at schools that face economic
disadvantages and provided whatever supplies they had said
were their greatest needs.
