INTRODUCTION

Crime today is one of the problems that most affect our society, because it goes
against the norms and moral principles established by society.

Over the years this problem has been increasing in an uncontrolled manner, in
which the government and the police have not been able to find any solution to
curb the crime wave that is currently being lived.

It is here that the so-called "Juvenile Delinquency" comes into play, which is the
same act of crime, but carried out by young people or teenagers who, due to bad
influences or low quality of life, are involved in this vandalism life.x

In this monograph we want to give a much broader picture about the problem of
juvenile delinquency, since it is an issue that is of paramount importance to our
society, since the rate of crimes committed by minors or young people is
increasingly frequent, In addition to being able to analyze the different causes for
which it adapts in the child's life, and the possible consequences that you are
going to generate.

JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

1. DEFINITION

Juvenile delinquency is a term that refers to crimes committed by young

or minor individuals.

It is a problem that grows every day and not only happens in our country,
but also in the whole world, which threatens the laws and good customs
established and accepted by society.

“The term“ delinquency ”comes from the Latin delinquentĭa, which allows
you to name the action of the criminal or the quality of the offender.

Delinquir is to commit a crime, that is, to violate the law and youth on the
other hand, it is that pertaining to or relating to youth.

Juvenile delinquency is located between childhood and adulthood, a

period ranging from 15 to 25 years, according to the United Nations
Organization (UNO)”

This phenomenon is very complex, and various causes are involved, which
are closely related to each other and lead to juvenile delinquency.

These can be grouped into geological, psychological, social.

2. FACTORS

There are factors that can negatively affect people's development, these
are risk factors, which can develop emotional, behavioral or health
problems.

These problems promote the occurrence of adaptive mismatches that

would hinder the achievement of the expected development for the young
person in terms of their transition from a responsible child to an adult
capable of contributing and actively participating in society.

The factors which cause the change in the behavior of individuals are
linked through a network of systems, in which the school, family, peer
groups and other institutions stand out, which directly or indirectly have a
certain influence on the Personal development.

These can be classified into 5 points, according to the individual or socio-

cultural level in which you are:

a) Individual factors: Low IQ, poor conflict resolution, attitudes and

favorable values towards risk behaviors, hyperactivity, difficult
temperament in childhood.

b) Family factors: Low family cohesion, having parents with mental illness,
coercive, ambivalent or permissive parental styles.

c) Factors linked to the peer group: Belonging to peer groups involved in

risky activities (criminal behavior, drug use, for example).

d) School factors: under teacher support, school alienation, school

violence.

e) Social or community factors: under community support, stigmatization

and exclusion of community activities.

3. RISK BEHAVIORS:

When we mention "risk behavior", we mean the behavior that "risk factors"
have.

These risk behaviors can be classified into 4 large groups:

3.A) Use and abuse of alcohol and drugs:

During this stage, it is very common for young people to experiment

with different types of drugs, from legal and illegal. This
consumption is associated with a wide range of individual and
contextual risk variables.

This may be caused by bad meetings, the social environment where

the individual has grown or the poor or poor relationship between
the child and his parents.

3.B) Unprotected sex:

The fact that young people have early or risky sexual relations is
associated with cognitive variables such as unclear attitudes
towards adolescent motherhood, rejection attitudes towards
conventional social norms and emotional stress. Biological
variables have also been associated with them, such as living early
puberty, and behavioral, such as oppositionalism and behavioral
disorders.

3.C) Poor performance, failure and dropout:

Currently, school permanence is considered to be the factor that

most influences the great possibility of social insertion in the future
and personal development.

The poor performance or failure is due to factors such as risk of

poverty, low social support for learning, cognitive difficulties, etc.

4. CRIME IN PERU

Peru is the country of Latin America with the highest rate of crime victims
as revealed by the barometer of the Americas 2014 according to the work
of the Republic Opinion Project (LAPOP), 30% of Peruvian citizens have
been at least victims of a criminal act, we have witnessed in recent years
on the cases that have marked our country on crime, we have the clear
example of drug trafficking and hitmen. Strategy plans were made to see
a change, however it was in vain until today.

5. YOUTH CRIME IN PERU:

Juvenile crime is growing in the country there are young people and even
children who are charged with murders. Every day we witness crimes
committed by minors who are used to steal extremely to commit illegal
acts, these cases occur both in Lima and in the province, after broadcasts
of some television channels we know that in the province they "train"
children to have a communist ideology especially to spread the idea of
going against the idea and management of the state, meanwhile in the
capital of our country, far outside the ideologies against the state are
children venturing into crime , being the famous "bells" or becoming
complicit in an assault.

6. REHABILITATION CENTER IN PERU

6.1 MARANGUITA (Lima):

They are minors who do not exceed 16 years, spend their days
between four walls condemned by their violent past. The activities
of these young people are routine, Since early hours they play
sports, recover hours at school and even some leave the youth
center to work or study and return by their own means.
