students have gathered
enough information about a
topic to lead their own
discussion based on their

content.

collaboration with a
classmate or two. This
method also allows advanced
students to help struggling
learners.

Graphic Organizer A tool that provides students I use graphic organizers


with a structure for their commonly in relation to a
thinking. text, where students can
record their interpretations
and reactions in an orderly
manner for later uses.

KWL Chart Formative Assessment KWL charts allow me to see


what students know, want to
know, and learned. From this
tool, I can gauge what
subjects can be avoided and
which ones should be
reviewed for clarity.
Four Corners Tool of assessment through An opinion or response is
student motion. posted in each corner of the
classroom, and students then
respond to my questions by
standing in the corner of their
choice. This allows students
to move while I can judge
student comprehension of
content based on the corner
they choose.
