A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CONGRESSMAN ROGER G. MERCADO OF THE LONE DISTRICT OF
SOUTHERN LEYTE TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE CONCRETING OF BARANGAY BASKETBALL COURT WITHIN THE
NEWLY CONSTRUCTED BARANGAY MULTI-PURPOSE COVERED COURT

WHEREAS, the Barangay Magallanes has an existing basketball court which was constructed in the 1990s
and has not been funded and improved for years. The said court is also affected during the construction stage of
the newly constructed multi-purpose covered court;

WHEREAS, the aforesaid infrastructure project is a priority thrust of the Barangay Council that would
benefit residents of the barangay as a whole because the concreting of this basketball court will pave the way for
the physical and sports development of the barangay;

WHEREAS, the barangay lacks sufficient funding to be able to implement the concreting of the basketball
court, hence this request;

NOW THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Barangay in session duly assembled Resolves as it is hereby Resolved
requesting the Honorable Congressman Roger G. Mercado of the Lone District of Southern Leyte to allocate funds
for the concreting of barangay basketball court within the newly constructed barangay multi-purpose covered
court;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copy hereof be sent to Honorable Roger G. Mercado, Congressman Lone
District of Southern Leyte at Congressional District Office for his information, favorable action and guidance;

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copy of the program of works of the said concreting of barangay
basketball court be sent together with this resolution;
