INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT SECTION

The institutional development function involves the creation of new IAs and

strengthening of existing IAs. We had the opportunity to observe the organization of IAs and

how meetings with the farmers are conducted. Here, we realized the importance of coordinating

with the local government units and the preparation of logistical requirements in conducting

meetings. This is the main task of NIA’s institutional development.

We also attended a meeting with the IAs to socialize and to talk about their concerns.
