Flow Traders

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a 4th year Undergraduate student at IIT Bombay majoring in Chemical Engineering. I would like
to present myself as a candidate for Flow Traders.

My interest in trading stems from the fact that it involves solving complex problems under immense
pressure. Trading will provide a dynamic environment to develop my analytical as well as leadership
skills. It will also provide an intellectually stimulating environment and give me an opportunity to
execute something new every day. Hence one gets to learn a lot. Executing trade ideas by applying
my market knowledge is something I keenly look forward to do.

My very first experience with the financial markets was when I interned with SBI Mutual Fund. I
helped detect potential accounting frauds in 5+ companies which led to the mutual fund avoiding
investment in these companies. I also played a key role in developing a new mutual fund scheme
which invests in stressed assets.

My second opportunity was with Deutsche Bank in the Debt Capital Markets division. I was actively
involved with the bond origination and the liability management team. I automated the plotting of
charts needed for preparation of pitch books which helped the bank in saving precious man hours. I
also actively collaborated with the London team to identify potential liability management
opportunities for various firms and automated a tool for it

Both these experiences have helped me to develop the ability to deliver results under pressure while
following strict deadlines. This has also enhanced my leadership qualities and the ability to work in a
team. Regular interaction with the top management at DB and SBI have led to improvement of my
presentation and communication skills.

I am also interested in statistics and probability having done a project at IIM Ahmedabad which
involved the same. I have also excelled in the numerical analysis and data interpretation course
offered by my department (10/10). I am also academically inclined having maintained a CPI of 9.18.
These skills and experiences will help me immensely in my career as a trader at Flow Traders

Flow Traders is one of the major trading firms in the world. Flow Traders offer the perfect
environment to learn about diverse financial products. Flow Traders unique one team driven culture
impressed me a lot. Working at Flow Traders will help develop my analytical as well as leadership
skills. It will be the perfect launching pad for my career. Its training program will help develop my
potential to the fullest and will give me the expertise to work with various financial products.
