The basic diff between the media and crash recovery is that , media recovery is performed by the user or dba with the helps of backups while the crash recovery is performed by the oracle itself by using his sman background process.

mirrored redologfile is the same copy of redologfile,when lgwr writes in the redologfile the same will be in the mirrored redofile.it is useful when original redo is corrupt database can recover from mirrored redologfile.

When your database is in archive log mode and you have to set the parameter of pfile that archive files are going on the two seperate disk. It is called on- line Redo Log mirrored.
