Before filling the application form please read the following instructions and fill each section
carefully.

There are 9 Sections in this applications form and applicant has to fill sections 1 to 7. Section 8 is
for referee and section 9 is for BBEST use only.

1. The education aid will only be given for higher education and any application from primary
standard to 12th standard will not be accepted.
2. Fill all the details neatly in your own handwriting and stick a passport size photograph in the
space provided. The photograph should be certified by a professional who has known you for
at least three years.
3. It is vital to specify the profession of your parent/guardian. Any application without
substantial proof of income will not be acceptable. Therefore please ensure that Payslip,
Certified letter of income from the employer or a copy of TR1 form endorsed by Income Tax
Department is enclosed. Please also enclose copies of bank statements and savings
showing transactions for at least 12 months or from opening if less than 12 months.
4. Applications without relevant documents and lacking information will be considered
incomplete and will be rejected.
5. Take the application form to a professional person who has known you for at least three
years who will attest and certify the photograph by signing on the photograph.
6. Take the application form and a stamped addressed envelope to referee who will fill the
relevant section and enclose the application form in the stamped addressed envelope and
give you the sealed envelope for mailing.
7. Award will only be paid into Bank Account, therefore please ensure that you have provided a
bank account of yourself or that of your parent/guardian. If you do not yet have a bank
account we shall request you if we decide to make an award.
8. If your age is under 18, then your parents should apply on your behalf.
9. Scholarship will only be given for school fees only and no other expenses will be considered.
10. A new form is available from http://www.fosbbsuk.org and all the previous versions of forms
will not be acceptable.
11. Trustees’ decision will be considered final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
12. Any application with false details/ signature will be considered fraudulent and the applicant
will be disqualified for any future applications.
