EDUCATION
Whatever principle of intelligence we attain in this life, it will remain to us until we die.
Education is an important part of your life. Educate your mind and develop your skills and
talents, your power to act well in your responsibilities, and your capacity to appreciate life. The
education you gain will be valuable to you during mortality.
Education will prepare you for greater service in the world. It will help you better provide for
yourself, your family, and those in need. It will also help you be a wise counselor to your future
family and even the community.
Education is an investment that brings great rewards and will open the doors of opportunity
that may otherwise be close to you. Plan now to obtain an education. Be willing to work
diligently and make sacrifices if necessary. Share your education goals with your family,
friends, and teachers so they can support and encourage you.
Maintain an enthusiasm for learning throughout your life. Find joy in containing to learn and in
expanding your interests. Choose to actively participate in the learning opportunities available
to you.

-I want to pursue college because It helps us to learn new things, find good jobs and lead a
respectable life in the society. The more educated a person the higher is the chances of her or his
success in life. Education is also important for other reasons. Education helps us to lead a good and
healthy life.
2. How can an education benefit me and my future family?
-education will benefit me and my future family because it is our ticket for a better future, without
proper education it is very hard to find jobs and earn money. That’s why it can benefit me by being
more secured on what will be the outcome of my future.
-In order for me to achieve my goals, I will work very hard for me to succeed. I will be determined
on the things I want to achieve and have a perseverance despite of failure and obstacles that I will
encounter throughout the journey on achieving my goals.
4. What is resistance?
-Resistance is an electrical quantity that measures how the device or material reduces the electric
current flow through it.
-The current is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.
This means that increasing the voltage will cause the current to increase, while increasing the
resistance will cause the current to decrease.
Given:
P=1.724x10^-8
D= 5 mm
L= 600 m
R= ?
A= Πd^2 /A
A= Π0.005^2 /4
A=1.96x10^-5
R=pl/a
R=0.53 Ω
= 23 ohms 10%
= 52G ohms 5%
9. What is conductance?
10. Determine the area in circular mils of a wire/cable having a diameter 0f 0.528 in.
= 7 ohms
12. Calculate the temperature coefficient of resistance of aluminum at 2 C. Using the value thus
obtained, determine the resistance of an aluminum conductor at 62 C if its resistance at 2 C is
7.5 ohms.
= -0.004348 /°c
= 9.46 ohms
13. The resistance of a given electric device is 46 ohms at 25 C. If the temperature coefficient of
resistance of the material is 0.00454 at 20 C, determine the temperature of the device when
its resistance is 92 ohms.
= 250.26 °C
14. You are working on an electronic circuit. The current is 5 mA. A resistor is marked with the
following bands: brown, black, red, gold. A voltmeter measures a voltage drop of 6.5 V across
the resistor. Is this resistor within its tolerance rating?
- yes, resistor be connected to the 120-volt source without damage to the resistor.
16. You have determined that a 4700-ohm, ½ -watt resistor on an electronic circuit board is
defective. Assuming room permits, can the resistor be replaced with a 4700-ohm, 1-watt
resistor without damage to the rest of the board, or will the higher wattage resistor generate
excessive heat that could damage other components?
-by doing that the higher wattage resistor generate excessive heat that could damage other
components.
