Setting:

generic public high school. The play will take place in the communs(high tech high)

● Antagonist - small witted bully that picks on nerd kid

ACT ONE

Scene 1

Two kids attend a generic public middle school. There is a smart, nerdy kid and a small

witted bully in 6th grade

Scene 1 introduces the characters in the story. You can see the bully verbally attack the

Nerd calmy working alone in a quiet place

Bryce

HEY! What do you think your doing there!? That's my table.

 Ned

(talks with lisp)

Oh sorry, didn't think anyone owned specific tables. Here you go

Bryce

Don’t talk back to me you little nerd

Ned

Ok sorry, just chill

Bryce

What did I literally just tell you. Get out.

Ned scrambles out in a hurry

Scene 2

Shows a more aggressive relationship between Bryce and Ned.

It becomes more physical.

Bully

Tuff and mean tone

What the hell are you eating stupid.

(smiling)

Bryce

Well it’s mine now stupid.

Pushes Ned out of the chair and snatches the sandwich

Ned
Hey what the frick!

Tries to stand up for himself but gets held down

Bryce

in a mocking tone

Takes a bite of the sandwich

“What you gonna do!”

Ned

I’m telling on you!!!

Bryce

Oh boo hoo, what's the teacher gonna do to help you? NOTHING!

Ned runs off in fear holding his backpack and stumbling

Bryce

Ha! Nerd.
 Scene 3 HERE

A new character comes in telling Ned that he should use his wits to outsmart and prank

the bully

New character come in and start talking to Ned

Wednesday in the lunch court

Hey, you know don’t worry about Bryce he's pretty dumb anyways. I’m Jimmy by the

Ned

In a surprised voice, confused

Oh hey, I’m Ned nice to meet you.

Jimmy

Nice to meet you, you know you should stand up to BRYCE.

Ned

I’m not sure how, he’s just gonna hit me. I-I-I’m scared of him.

Jimmy

Don’t think about his muscles, he’s not smart so you use that against him. If you need

help getting stuff just tell me I’ll help you out.

Ned

You know, you’re right. I’m gonna stand up for myself. And thanks for the advice, why
are you helping me anyway?

Jimmy

I don’t know, I just can’t stand bullies

Ned

I’m know right. I can’t stand them either.

Jimmy

Yeah, you could say I’ve had bad past experiences.

Ned

OK I’ll think about it, see you tomorrow.

Jimmy

Smiles in an assuring way

Yeah see you tomorrow, think carefully.

Scene 4

Ned made a new friend and start planning his revenge.

Hey, so I thought about what you said. I was wondering if you could get me some

marbles. I could make him slip as he’s chasing me.

Jimmy
Yeah, I can do that, so you’re thinking of provoking him and making him chase you?

Smart.

Ned

Yeah you could hide in the hallway and roll the marbles when I pass.

Jimmy

Bryce is coming stop talking about it.

Bryce walking towards them

Bryce

Oh is that your new girlfriend nerrrrrrrrd?

Jimmy

In a quiet threatening voice

Leave him alone Bryce.

Bryce

Well Ned your girlfriend has one hell of a mouth.

Bryce saunters up to Jimmy flexing

Bryce

Want a fight punk? Lets fight.

Teacher walks in “Is there a problem”(Lisa or Glenn or Jim)

Ned

Yeah! Everything is ok

Bryce

Puts Jimmy around his shoulder

We’re just having fun​ (with a fake smile and threatening look to Jimmy)

Bryce

Bryce walks away

Jimmy

I hate him, I’ll get you the marbles by tomorrow. You perfect your plan.

Ned

Ok see you.

Jimmy

Hey Ned, so tell me the plan.

Ned

Ok, so when I get out of class I’m gonna walk towards bryce and run into him but make

it look like an accident, He’s gonna be mad try to hit me and I’ll run.

Jimmy

Ok but where are you running?

Ned

I will be running towards the front desk. That’s when you come in, the moment you see

me pass, throw the marbles and he’s gonna trip on them.

Jimmy

Ok, class is about to end so I’m gonna ask the teacher if I can go to the bathroom and

I’m gonna hide in the corner of the hallway. See you soon!
Jimmy asks to go the bathroom and leaves.

Ned

Ned comes out of the classroom when the bell rings

Ok I can do this, I can do this.(talking to himself)

Ned runs into Bryce from the back.

Oh my god I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean too.

Brycei

What the hell. What do you think you’re doing, tryna act tough?

Ned

No please. ​Turns around and start running away, Bryce chases him.

Ned passes Jimmy and says “go”

Jimmy

Throws the marbles

Bryce

He looks at marbles rolling towards him but knows its already too late.

Slips on the marbles.

Everyone comes out of class and start laughing at him.

Bryce stands up and runs away.

Ned

Oh my god, we did it.

Jimmy walks over to Ned and gives him a high five.

Jimmy
Good job bro only need a few more tricks and I’m sure he’ll leave you alone.

Ned

Yeah thanks. I've been thinking of more tricks to pull.

Jimmy

Really? What do you want to do? What do you need?

Ned

Well you know how he takes my lunch right? I want to put really spicy hot sauce in it.

Jimmy

Oooo that’s smart. That would be hard but I can figure it out I’ll try to bring it monday.

You only need to focus on how you gonna get him to take it without having any

suspicion.

Ned

Spectacular! I can’t wait to see the look on his face!

Jimmy

Hey Ned! I've got your stuff. My Mom has like the spiciest food ever.

Ned

That’s great, so I’m just gonna act normally with the sandwich. He always takes a bite of

Jimmy

 Ned

I don’t know, you choose.

Jimmy

I’ll just be in the corner.

Ned

OK. I’m gonna put the spice in my sandwich now..

Jimmy

I’m gonna go...

Ned but the spicy food in the sandwich and wait for bryce to show up

Bryce comes

Bryce

Bryce comes from behind and snatches the sandwich away.

Ned

Wait no please my mom made it don’t eat it (Ned jumping to try and get it.)

Bryce

Ha ha

Takes a bite of sandwich.

What the hell

Bryce starts coughing

(shoots red paper out of the giant puppet’s mouth)

 Ned

I told you not to take a bite.

Jimmy laughing in the corner and filming everything.

Jimmy

We did it again!

Ned

Now he's gonna be really mad at me.

He’s gonna try to do something to me. I need to counter his prank and prank him. I want

him to be scared of me.

Jimmy

In a funny tone

Getting a bit dark there Ned, Ha Ha Ha

Ned

Ha ha yeah, I need to do this part alone ok

Jimmy

Are you sure it’s a bit risky-

Ned

I don’t care. I need to prove to myself I can do this.

Jimmy

Ok sure. But what are you gonna do anyways.

Ned

I’m gonna get him in a room alone, and-

Ned

Bryce and Ned see each other very far away in the hallway

This is my cue.

Bryce walks really fast to get to Ned. Ned turns around and starts walking toward a

hallway. He gets inside a classroom and Bryce follows him. He enters the room.

Bryce

You can’t hide from it. Stupid.

Ned

Slowly moving backwards

I’m smarter than you, stupid.

Bryce

Oh is your brain gonna fight me? is that it?

bryce advancing slowly

Ned

Well, yeah that’s the plan. (Bryce trip on some wires.)

Bryce

You think that’s gonna stop me?

Bryce runs towards ned , ned dodges and bryce hurt himself.

Ned tries to punch Bryce but misses and bryce pushes him on the ground. Bryce is

about to punch him and Jimmy comes in.

Jimmy

Bryce don’t do it or I’m gonna post this video.

Bryce

Bryce turns around.​ What are you even talking about.

Jimmy

I filmed you bullying Ned every time. If I post, you’re gonna get expelled.

Bryce

You really think I care about that?

Jimmy

You’re parents are gonna see it and there gonna punish you-
 Bryce

Jimmy

Oh what? you got parents issue?

Ned

Pushes bryce off of him stands up and punch him( Bryce sits on the ground and slightly

cries.)

Bryce

You know my dad hits me so if you send that video. I don’t know what’s gonna happen.

If I get expelled he’s-he’s gonna.

Ned

So you think it’s ok to bully me?? Is that it?

Bryce

(I realize I have anger issues OK) with a loud voice, kinda mad

So I take them out on you( with a smoother voice.)

Ned

STILL, Jimmy send it.

Jimmy

I don’t know if I should anymore. Are you gonna stop bullying him

Bryce

Yes I swear, if you delete it.

 Ned

Jimmy do it.

1. Make a plan to show the integration of your learning:

a. Math - The bully is most likely to fall for the nerd’s traps because he is not smart
 and overconfident. Transformations will be most of the movement for our project.
Their will be similarities in the giant puppet’s sizes. We don't have a blueprint
made yet for our two puppets.
b. Humanities - The overconfident bully is bullying the smart nerd. The nerd offers
the bully three things, all being traps to stop the bully. The traps are a lunch bag
with spicy food, marbles to slip on, and
c. Spanish - We can add spanish sayings, (like in the Dora)
