MST’s AXON air is a ruggedized Wi-Fi access point and a key product in MST’s new
AXON range - our futureproof underground network platform for hard rock mining
and tunneling environments. AXON air offers all typical access point features but
has the increased capability of being fully compatible with MST’s geo-location
solution and Wi-Fi tags.
AXON air is designed to be easily deployed by being mounting directly onto the AXON core unit or independently mounted to a
rock surface where its two communication ports allow individual access points to be daisy-chained. This eliminates the need for
external switches or power supplies and reduces the overall cost of the solution.

AXON air’s versatility continues with its ability to also host high-gain antennas mounted directly to its enclosure that, with the
assistance of an optional swivel mechanism, can be pointed in a desired direction following tunnel geometry. An additional
feature of AXON air is its 802.11s meshing protocol which allows it to serve as a network gateway for other 802.11s enabled
devices, effectively providing a link between a wireless ad-hoc mesh and the fixed infrastructure.
