Abstract - Chettinad Health City, the first of its kind in India, was launched by the Chettinad Group of institutions
in 2005 to create a new benchmark in excellence in Healthcare, Education, and Research. To achieve this objective,
it already has to its credit a world-class medical college and nursing college. CHC also has a Research Institution to
promote advanced research activities in the field of medical sciences, and a Superspeciality Hospital that offers
quality healthcare of international standards.

Located just 30 km away from Chennai in South India, Chettinad Health City nestles in a lush, green, eco-friendly
campus. It has over 20 lakhs sq. ft. of built-up area, and encompasses a community of students, researchers and
healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health of the whole larger community of which they are a part.

PATIENT FACILITIES:

o Accommodation: We offer different types of rooms, from 4-bed and 1-bed units up to villas.
o Campus: Chettinad Health City nestles in a 100 acre campus draped in lush greenery and filled
with landscaped gardens. There is a GREEN ZONE within the campus, with battery-powered
carts, scooters & cycles provided for transport. The electricity needs of the campus are met by
power generated by wind energy.
o Pharmacy: The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Some drugs and
supplies are also available without prescription.
o Diet Kitchen: Our Dietary Department plans each meal based on the diet your doctor has ordered.
All meals are nutritious and prepared in a hygienic manner. In order to maintain prescribed patient
diets and to avoid any infection, bringing food from outside is prohibited. Dietitians are available
to counsel and advise.
o Nursing Services: The nursing staff will help you with any problem or concern you may have. If
you are unable to resolve your concerns, please feel free to contact the Patient Services
Department.
o In addition, CHC offers Bank & ATM services, Interpretation Services, Restaurants, Shops,
Laundry Services, a Gym, a Hair Salon, Spa and Health Club, as well as an Internet Centre and a
