Interest Meeting Dynamics

Introduction: The interest meeting can be called many different things but the goal is to help you
heat up leads for potential launch team members.

1. How to Pick a Place

B. Room Dynamics Matter - not too big for the number of people you expect

ii. Be consistent
iii. There is no perfect time
a. Time of the day matters - consider traffic and meal times
2. What to Say
A. Orientation at Every meeting
i. Speak to the group as if everyone is brand new every time
a. Let’s your team know if they bring someone they are going to be comfortable and
not feel lost
ii. Introduce yourself, your family and key leaders
a. Don’t assume everyone knows you
B. Layout Clear Exceptions for the meeting
i. How long you will go
a. Stick to that/Honor their time - build trust and
ii. What will happen in the meeting
a. Even if everyone has been there before
C. Paint the Picture Every Time
A. Help people imagine what it will look like
3. Theme
A. Have plan to make the event fun but not uncomfortable
B. If food is available put energy into preparing it with excellence
C. Create an event that will allow you to both share your vision and give people the
opportunity to connect
i. This is not a church service
ii. This is not a fun only event or team building activity
iii. This is not an outreach event

A. Connect cards that include - Don’t pass around a clip board. Excellence!

ii. Prayer requests
iii. Contact information
B. Have a plan to meet with people the next week
C. Provide information on future meetings

Conclusion: You will want to have your vision and pitch ready to go for these meetings. Do not
spend the entire time (1 hour) speaking. The majority of the meeting should be used to connect
(45 minutes) and then at the end share your vision and pitch (15 minutes).
