Learning Goals - by the end of this activity, students will be expected to:
• produce engaging and complementary full page and lower thirds graphics that connect to previously edited TV video segment
• learn and apply the principles and elements of graphic design
• work through a design process to successfully develop an original graphic design
• identify and apply a variety of graphic design concepts utilizing Adobe Photoshop

Assignment Objective: Students will create both a full page and lower thirds TV graphic for high definition television based on the lessons, tools and techniques taught in class. Students will create graphics based on their previously edited TV video segment. Graphics are to be used within their final TV video
segment.

Assignment Requirements:
1 x Full Page Graphic
1 x Lower Third Graphic design for all necessary on camera talent in your TV video segment

Typography must complement the graphic elements and the TV video segment content

Colour scheme must complement the graphic elements and the TV video segment content

All graphic elements within both the full page and lower thirds graphics are visually consistent (ie: typography, colour
scheme, shapes, images etc.)

Graphic Development - Layers


Most layers are given a name that identifies the layer content appropriately
Only relevant layers are to be included in final Photoshop document
