A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Math for Kindergarten

I. OBJECTIVES:
Through given varied activities the Kindergarten pupils with atleast 80% accuracy are
expected to;
a. count and add one digit number,
b. give the importance of adding one digit number,
c. represent and add one digit number by using objects.

II. LEARNING CONTENT:


Content : Add one digit number
References : My Learning Friend in Math, (Annabelle Faner-Baraan)
Materials: pictures, popsicles sticks, book
Values: Recognizing one digit number in addition

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE:


A. Review
The teacher will let the pupils count numerals from 1 up to 10.

B. Motivation
The teacher will sing a song entitled “One and One, Two” and let the pupils repeat
after.
“One and One, Two”

One and one, two


Two and two, four
Three and three, are six for me
Four and four, eight
Five and five, ten
Little fingers on my hand.

C. Presentation
The teacher will mount sets of objects with its corresponding numbers.

D. Discussion
1. The teacherwill ask the pupils of what they have seen in the board.
2. The teacher then, will discuss the topic.
3. The teacher will let the pupils count the given sets of objects with its
corresponding numbers.
4. The teacher will let the pupils add the given numbers with the help of the given
sets of objects.

E. Generalization
Addition helps us count and add numbers.

F. Application
The teacher will give pop sickle sticks to each pupil. Pupils will be able to add
numbers using the given pop sickle sticks.
