The Fourth Industrial Revolution heralds a series of social, political,

century. Building on the widespread availability of digital
technologies that were the result of the Third Industrial, or Digital,
Revolution, the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be driven largely by
the convergence of digital, biological, and physical innovations.

AI is a key pillar for Industry 4.0
• Industry 4.0 presents new opportunities to improve efficiency and

optimize use of assets. There are also new opportunities to improve
customer experience through better customized products and
services.
• Cybersecurity for Industry 4.0 is a key concern as the boundary
between the real world and virtual world disappears in the era of
Industry 4.0. AI is key to enabling Operational Technology (OT)
cybersecurity.
• AI is the key for education for the age of Industry 4.0
