Dear Brandstormers,
We are extremely pleased to bring to you to the 28th Edition of Brandstorm- our innovation and strategic real time global
marketing case study competition. (https://brandstorm.loreal.com/en/challenges/india)
Brandstorm was launched in the year 1993 in Paris and first played by India in 2006. The competition echoes the L’Oréal
philosophy of innovation, entrepreneurship and excellence to make beauty universal whereby defining the future of marketing.
Each year we partner with one of our 36 global brands to create a marketing challenge that dares students to create disruptive
solutions for the brand in the space of marketing or digital.
The program is supported through strong mentorship from senior management, brand managers and HR throughout the
competition journey, which is divided into domestic and international rounds.

- COMPETITION PARTNER 2020 -

The challenge this year is with the L’Oréal Consumer Products Division, to present students with a case study on building a plastic-
less future in the beauty industry.

The case focuses on creating an innovation that reduces or eliminates the use of plastic by inventing new circular business
solutions, and by changing middle-class consumer behavior.

Please note that the participants are free to brand their project as L’Oréal Consumer Products or choose any of the Division’s

- WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU? –

1 Case – 1 MEGA AWARD

Intrapreneurship Award at the World’s Largest Startup Campus, Station F, in Paris.

A global 3 months internship for the Winning Team in Paris: In order to get closer to the reality of Innovation at L’Oréal, students
will work on one unique case that blends different aspects of Innovation - consumer intelligence, marketing, tech, and business.

The winning team will get to bring their idea to life during a 3 months’ internship in Paris at Station F.

Participate in One Young World Summit at Munich - a global forum to develop solutions to address urgent global issues and
create positive change

About Station F- It is the World’s Biggest Startup Campus, which gathers a whole entrepreneurial ecosystem under one roof.
There is no better place to surround yourself with the best entrepreneurs and resources and learn about the latest developments
in technology and product innovation.

National Finalists will be extended Pre-Placement Interview Offers for the Management Trainee Position- Batch 2021. L’Oréal also
extends PPIs to select students from the Preliminary Rounds, depending upon their individual performance during the competition.

And last but not the least, live the life of a Brand Manager through the Competition Journey and learn, from close quarters,
how L’Oréal is leading innovation in beauty using technology and connected solutions.

Registration & Idea upload

 Students can register for the Competition online through this link: https://brandstorm.loreal.com/en/challenges/india
 The competition is open only to first year students who fulfil the below criteria:
o Have a total Pre-MBA Professional Experience of less than 2 years (Internship experience not counted in this)
o Not selected for L’Oréal Internship Program- Batch 2020.
 Students must register themselves individually on the platform first and then form teams of three.
 Once registered, students will have the option of registering a mentor for their project. The Partner Faculty’s name should
be selected here (can be done at a later stage).
 Students need to submit their ideas on https://brandstorm.loreal.com/en/challenges/india

 Each team has to submit a 3 slide presentation in the form of a pdf. Only the first – name slide and thank you slide can
be added beyond these 3 slides.
