1. What Is Seller Central? 
Seller Central is an online dashboard that controls every aspect of your Amazon 
business, and allows complete control from one location. Each market has its own 
dashboard. From Seller Central, you control:  
 
● Product listing  
● Inventory  
● Promotions  
● Advertising  
● A range of important reports

2. Different Types of Seller Central Accounts  
You have two choices when setting up your Seller Central account:  
 
1. Individual: A starter account for those selling low numbers of products, and who 
are charged per item.  
2. Professional: An account for sellers selling higher volumes of products, and 
costs $39.99 per month.  
 
Note: ​“Individual” is just a name—you won’t necessarily choose that one just because 
you haven’t set up a business yet.   

3. Which Account to Start With?  
While the professional account costs $39.99 per month and the individual account is 
free, there is a good chance that you will eventually need a professional account. 
However, if money is an issue now, it is perfectly fine to start with an individual account, 
and upgrade later.  
 
Note: ​If you upgrade to a professional account later, you may get an account review, 
which can mean that you have restricted access to your account for a few days.   

4. What You Need to Set Up Your Account   
Make sure you have the following things, so that you can more easily set up your Seller 
Central account:

● Email Address: We recommend creating a unique email address JUST for your 
Seller Central account, as this will make things less confusing later on.  
● Name: Either your name or your business name.  
● Address: Either your address or your business address.  
● Deposit Method: A bank account where you can receive your payments from 
Amazon.  
● Charge Method: A credit or debit card used to pay for your monthly subscription 
and advertising costs.  

5. Business or Personal?  
Use either your personal or business information to set up your account—the details can 
be changed inside Seller Central at any time.  
 
If you use your business details, ​you will need the EIN ​(Employer ID Number) that you 
received if you registered your business in the US.  

6. Where You Live  
Where you live has an effect on what you need to get your account set up. ​Amazon will 
only deposit money into banks in certain countries. ​If you are living in one of the 
countries where they will ​not ​deposit money, you will need to use a third-party service.  
 
Make sure to download the list of countries attached to this video, and find out which 
group your country falls into, Group One, Two, or Three.  
 
Take a look at the groups below, to find out what banking requirements each one has.

Group One:  
 
● Amazon will pay directly into a bank account in these countries.  
● It is easiest to sell in these countries if you live here, since you can use all of your 
own information, including banking information, credit card numbers, addresses, 
etc.  
● You do not need any additional information, if you live in one of these countries.  
 
Group Two:  
 
● Amazon will not pay directly into a bank account in these countries, but they ​will 
allow you to use a third-party service​.  
● Apart from your banking information, you may use all of your other local 
information (address, etc.).  
● We recommend using World First to help you receive your Amazon 
payments—Amazing.com has a strong relationship with them, and they go out of 
their way to help our members.  
● If you choose to work with World First, watch the next lesson, which walks you 
through getting your account set up with them.  
 
Group Three:  
 
● Amazon will not pay directly into a bank account in these countries, and they will 
not allow you to use a third-party service, either.  
● You will need to open a bank account in one of the countries listed in Group One, 
or use a trusted family friend to open an account for you.

If you are part of Group Three, consider contacting an international bank. Ask them to 
set up a ​“US-based account.”  
 
Note: A “US Currency” account is not enough. ​You must specifically ask for a US-based 
account.  
 
Download the list of countries that is included in this lesson to find out which group you 
are in. If you fall into either Group Two or Group Three, head to the next lesson, to learn 
how to set up an account with World First.  
 
After that, it’s time to set up your Seller Central account!
