PROJECT WORK
Maximum: 100 marks (Internal:50 Marks; External: 50 Marks)

Project Description:
Guidelines:
1. Project report is the compulsory component of the syllabus to bridge the gap between theory and
practice.
2. The field of specialization is Human Resource, Marketing, Finance and related commerce and
management based topics.
3. The project work should be neatly presented in not less than 60 pages and not more than 100
pages
4. Paper Size should be A4
5. 1.5 spacing should be used for typing the general text. The general text shall be justified and
typed in the Font style - Font: Times New Roman / Font Size: 12 for text)
6. Subheading shall be typed in the Font style (Font: Times New Roman / Font Size: 14 for
headings).
The report should be professionally prepared.
7. The candidate should submit periodical report of the project to the supervisor.
8. Two reviews will be conducted before the Viva Voce
9. Each candidate should submit hardcopy (2 copies) and a soft copy in CD to the Department. After
the Evaluation of the project report one hard copy will be returned to the candidate

Evaluation Scheme

Project Evaluation and viva voce – Internal Examiner – 50 Marks


Project Evaluation and viva voce – External Examiner – 50 Marks

Total Marks - 100 Marks

If a candidate fails to submit the Project Work or fails to appear for the Viva Voce
Examination then the Candidate should submit or appear only in the next Viva Voce Examination

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING PROJECT REPORT

The Project Report should be presented in the following format only -


(a) The report should be printed on A4 size Executive Bond sheet.

(b) The font used should be Times New Roman and font size should be 12.

(c) The top, bottom and right margins should be 1” each. The left margin should be set at 2”.

(d) The line spacing should be fixed at 1.5 lines.

(e) Page numbers should be placed at bottom middle position.

(f) Chapters should be numbered as 1, 2, 3, etc. The tables and charts should be in the format of 1.1,

1.2, etc. i.e. 1.1 indicates that it is the first Table in Chapter 1; 2.1 indicates first table in Chapter

2. Similarly Chart No. 1.1 indicates first chart in Chapter 1.

(g) The Project Report should be a minimum of 80 pages and should not exceed 100 pages.

(h) Each candidate should submit 2 hardcopies duly signed by the faculty guide and the HOD and a

soft copy in CD to the Department. After the Evaluation of the project report one hard copy will

be returned to the candidate

(i) The hard copy should be in soft binding format with white thick cover forming the cover page.
GUIDELINES FOR WRITING CHAPTER WISE REPORT

1. Chapter I of the report should be titled as “INTRODUCTION”. The Introduction chapter should

include the Importance, Objectives, Scope as well as Chapterisation scheme.

2. Chapter II of the report should be titled as “COMPANY PROFILE”. The student should submit

the company profile or product profile in this chapter.

3. Chapter III deals with theoretical part of the research including “RESEARCH

METHODOLOGY” includes an overview of principles of researchers and Research Design,

Data Collection Instrument, Tools Used etc. and “REVIEW OF LITERATURE” indicating the

reviews and research done by few authors on the related topics are abstracted as reference to the

study

4. Chapter IV of the report should be titled as “ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF

DATA”.

5. Chapter V of the report should be titled as “FINDINGS, SUGGESTIONS and

CONCLUSIONS”.
