Introduction

The Seven Deadly Sins were the strongest and cruelest order of Holy Knights in the Kingdom
of Liones. They were formed by seven brutal criminals, who had all been convicted for grievous
crimes and had carved the symbols of seven beasts onto their bodies. having been framed for
murdering the Great Holy Knight, they were indefinitely disbanded, as well as branded as
traitors and villains. They are the main protagonists of the series.
I. Main Characters
1.1.Meliodas
Is the Dragon's Sin of Wrath and captain of the Seven Deadly Sins. He is the main
protagonist of the series and was the owner of the renowned tavern Boar Hat. His Sacred
Treasure is the Demon Sword Lostvayne and his inherent power is Full Counter. He was
also the head of the Ten Commandments, as Meliodas the Love and a former member
of Stigma. He is the older brother of Zeldris and the eldest son of the Demon King.
Despite having the appearance of a child, Meliodas is actually much older, being more
than three thousand years old. He is exceptionally short compared to other characters,
with messy blond hair and a pair of emerald eyes. He also lacks facial hair, further
accentuating his adolescent appearance. Regardless of his stature and youthful looks, he
is relatively muscular, possessing an array of well-developed abdominal muscles. He
often wears an ordinary, clean white button-front shirt and a black sleeveless vest on top
with a loosely worn tie. His Broken Sword's scabbard is held on by a green leather belt
with gold-colored buckles. Without any socks, he wears a pair of black boots. His most
distinctive trait is his Dragon symbol carved at the top of his left bicep, just below his
shoulder.
When Meliodas was the leader of the Ten Commandments, he wore a white, sleeveless
coat adorned by a batch of black X-shaped buttons from all around the high collar, black
lining on the coat, a dark red color on the inside, and a coat's tail. He also had black
pants with matching colored boots. Meliodas also wielded a large, yet sleek sword, but
during his battle with Elizabeth against the Demon King and Supreme Deity it was
destroyed.
During his tenure as the leader of Danafor's Holy Knights, Meliodas wore their
traditional armor, much like Cain Barzad's. Ten years ago he wore a full-body silver
armor with a unique helmet, like the rest of the Sins. He also wielded a dagger that
appeared to be his Sacred Treasure. Meliodas was issued a wanted poster, like the rest
of the Sins, after being framed for the murder of Great Holy Knight Zaratras. The most
current issue of his wanted poster does not accurately depict him but, coincidentally,
does depict his brother, Estarossa.
After the Kingdom Infiltration arc, Meliodas sports a new outfit; a long-sleeved, high-
collared white tunic over an undershirt, a pair of gloves, knee-length black pants, and
black boots. This outfit is a bit more formal like a uniform with the "Boar Hat"
embroidered on his back.
After his time in Purgatory, Meliodas now has seven permanent scars where his hearts
are located and sports a new Black Mark similar to the one he previously had as leader
of the Ten Commandments. He now wears the debut outfit he previously wore.
In his Assault Mode, Meliodas shroud himslef in darkness. This takes the appearance of
a vest-like coat that only covers his armpits, which flares out at ragged ends, and has a
very high collar which is spread wide. He also has two wrist bands, made up of the same
darkness as the rest of his clothes. His pants are connected to his feet look like a bird's
talons, but with five toes.
In Purgatory, Meliodas' emotions wear a V-neck blue vest, made with the skin of
indigenous species, that has three silver diamond-shaped buttons; the vest covers his
shoulders and slightly exposes his chest with a small up-turned collar, and slightly opens
at the hem. The blue gloves and knee-length pants have a leather-like appearance to it,
and both have the same diamond-shaped button on it. Meliodas also seems to wear
shoes, rather than his usual choice; boots.
After absorbing all the Commandments and becoming a vessel for the Demon King,
Meliodas' body became that of a tall and muscular adult with long hair, a white full-
body leotard, golden boots and gauntlets and two long, clawlike protrusions coming out
of a dark matter accumulated on his back. He also has several black marks around his
body, including his dragon's symbol on his shoulder.
After the Demon King was driven out of his body, Meliodas returned to his previous
appearance. Meliodas also achieved a new form similar to when he was possessed by
his father.

1.2.Elizabeth Liones
Is the third adoptive princess of the Kingdom of Liones. She is the deuteragonist of the
series, and an alleged survivor from the Kingdom of Danaforand a former waitress at
Boar Hat bar during her journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins, , eventually becoming a
prominent asset and healer for them. She also is the 107th reincarnation of the Goddess
Elizabeth, the Supreme Deity's daughter 3,000 years ago who also reincarnated in the
Holy Knight Liz.
Elizabeth is a beautiful young woman of slender yet curvaceous figure with a big bust
and regular height. She has very pale skin, large light blue eyes which can turn orange
while gaining a triskele (though initially it only was her right eye), and long silver hair
reaching her waist. Her bangs firstly covered her right eye but later stopped, later ending
with a similar hairstyle to her original incarnation after being sliced across the forehead
by one of Chandler's Split Tama. Elizabeth wanted poster's image is very accurate, since
she had been in the kingdom very recently.
Elizabeth always wears a blue earring with the symbol of the Liones royal family,
compromising of the sun, the moon, and stars.
At the start, Elizabeth wore a set of old rusted armor several sizes larger than her and a
black, skintight jumpsuit underneath.
As a waitress in Boar Hat, Elizabeth wears a pink buttoned shirt with a black ribbon and
a midriff exposing her belly button, a dark mini skirt, strapped with a pink (orange in
the anime) belt, a black stocking on her left leg, and black-white heels.
During the attack of the Albion and the visit to Istar, Elizabeth wore a maid outfit similar
to the maids in Liones castle.
During the Great Fight Festival, Elizabeth wore a purple (blue in the anime) short dress,
a silver armor from the Druids covered of golden designs, and short white boots.
She later changed her outfit to an open-backed blue (navy blue in the anime) button up
shirt with a white (pink in the anime) necktie, a short white skirt with slits and a belt,
and a long black stocking on her right leg with black heels.
During the New Holy War she wears a white dress, covered by a short pink coat, and
fluffy white and pink winter boots, all made by Merlin.
II. Secondary Characters
2.1.Ban
is the Fox's Sin of Greed of the Seven Deadly Sins, as well as a former Bandit. After the
group's disbandment, Ban was initially imprisoned in the Baste Dungeon, but escaped
when he discovered that Meliodas was still alive. His Sacred Treasure is the Holy Rod
Courechouse. On top of being immortal (albeit not anymore), he is known for his ability,
Snatch.
Ban is a very tall, muscular man with tan skin, who possesses a set of well-developed
abdominal muscles and usually has a slouch. He has short, spiky, pale blue hair and thin
black eyebrows, and scarlet-red eyes. On the left side of his jaw and extending down to
his neck, he has a large scar given to him by Meliodas.
At the end of the Baste Dungeon Arc, he is shown wearing a red leather jacket and pants
with metal studs sewn into both alongside shoes of a similar, yet darker color.
Ten years ago, Ban wore a full set of red armor with a helmet like the rest of his
teammates and wielded either a three-sectioned staff or a rapier. During his
imprisonment at the Baste Dungeon, his hair had grown past his shoulders, and he had
also grown a large beard and mustache. However, soon after escaping his cell, he
utilized Jericho's attacks to trim away his facial hair and to reduce his long hairstyle.
Due to losing his shirt during his fight against King in the Capital of the Dead Arc, Ban
decided to wear an apron until he was able to find a similar set of clothes during the
Vaizel Fight Festival. His Seven Deadly Sins symbol of the Fox is located above his
waist on his left side. His wanted poster image, which is slightly accurate, depicts him
with long hair that extends past his shoulders. The image also displays a clear view of
his distinctive scar.
After leaving the Boar Hat, Ban wore a dark red long coat. The long coat has a wide,
open collar which exposes a large amount of his chest and has a brown belt with a silver
buckle. The bottom half of the long coat flares out and has pockets. He is shown wearing
his old red leather pants with metal studs sewn into the forearms of the coat alongside
shoes of a similar, yet darker color.
In Purgatory, Ban wears a long-sleeved red jacket with a leopard-like pattern design,
made with the skin of the local species; it has a high collar which slopes backward, and
the jacket is wide open reaching up to his pectoral muscles, exposing his upper-body.
His pants are yellowish green and feature black blotches on the right side.
2.2.Diane
As a giant, Diane is several times larger than an ordinary human being. She is a fair
maiden, described as "lovely, beautiful" with purple eyes and medium length brown hair
which is tied up into large twin tails. She has a well-endowed and curvaceous body.
Similar to most of the other Seven Deadly Sins, her facial appearance is relatively
childlike and has shown little change over the years. Diane's wanted poster depicts her
with light colored hair. Her symbol, which is of the Serpent, is located on her left outer
thigh.
When she was still a child, Diane wore ragged clothing until King made her a new set.
Her clothes during the earlier part of the series resemble what King made for her, having
sewn it herself by using leather derived from Dusk Bison skin.[2] Her earlier attire
consisted of a short-sleeved one-piece orange suit, boots with five crossed laces that
extend almost up to her knees, and two finger-less gauntlets of a blue-grey leathery
material covered in shiny steel stud - with the right gauntlet having been destroyed by
Gilthunder during the fight in the Forest of White Dreams. She also wore a backpack
previously used by Meliodas. She wears a short purple sleeveless dress with white
puffballs down the front while human size or the Boar Hat uniform while serving at the
bar.

Ten years ago, Diane —as a Holy Knight— wore a full body orange armor with a unique
helmet like the rest of her fellow Deadly Sins.
After Hendrickson's defeat, Diane wears clothes made by King that are almost the same
style as her previous one, except for an inverted triangle cut on the chest and the skirt.
She also wears black underwear resembling bike shorts underneath the skirt.
During the New Holy War, Diane wears new clothes made by Merlin.

2.3.King
King's fairy form resembles a young boy with short brown hair, a high forehead, thin
eyebrows, and brownish-orange eyes. He wears a long orange and aqua sweatshirt with
a hood and navy blue sleeves, quarter-length navy blue pants, and short boots with large
buttons matching his hoodie. He also carries a green leopard pattern pillow which is
actually a transformation of his spear Chastiefol. Despite being a fairy, he has yet to
grow visible wings.
In his human form, he looks almost exactly like his wanted poster; large, fat and more
ragged, perhaps hinting at how humans look to fairies. He wears an enlarged version of
the clothes he wears as a fairy, though he can freely change the clothes he wears in this
form.
Ten years ago, he wore full-body light green armor with a helmet that fits the size of his
human form. King's wanted poster depicts him as a big man with short hair, sideburns,
a button nose, and a sneer. His Seven Deadly Sins Grizzly symbol is located just above
his left ankle, on the outer side of his lower leg.
After the Kingdom Infiltration arc, King attached Helbram's helmet to the hood of his
jacket.
After completing Gloxinia's trial in the past, King grew tiny wings on his back
resembling those of a butterfly's.
During the battle against Mael, King's wings develop completely in the form of huge
butterfly wings, coming together with a new form in which King's body becomes that
of a taller and thinner teenager, with a longer hairstyle with a populated frontal crest.
When wearing clothes, he wears a suit. It has also been shown that King is still able to
transform into his human form, with this form's appearance being almost exactly the
same as before, with the exception of this form now possessing the same hairstyle and
wings as his current appearance. Also like before, he wears an enlarged version of the
suit he wears as a fairy. It has also been revealed that in the event that King completely
exhausts himself, his appearance reverts back to that of his original appearance.
2.4.Gowther
is the Goat's Sin of Lust of the Seven Deadly Sins. Gowther was revealed to be a doll,
created by a great wizard, and is a former member of the Ten Commandments, serving
as his creator's proxy during his time with the Commandments. His Sacred Treasure is
the Twin Bow, Herritt, which he uses in conjunction with his inherent power, Invasion.
Gowther was created in the image and likeness of the woman his creator loved, but to
feel no attraction for his creation, he gave it the body of a man. He has a very feminine
face and as such can be mistaken for a girl.
Gowther has amber eyes and dark red hair (sometimes depicted as magenta) that reaches
just past his jaw. His usual attire consists of a white shirt with gray long sleeves over a
black cropped tank top as well as a pair of dark pants and short grey boots. After Bartra
made him dress like a maid, Gowther adopted an unusual habit of wearing women's
clothes.
Gowther also wears a pair of glasses with light frames and apparently cannot see without
them. This was first discovered when he disguised himself as Armando. Gowther also
has the ability to change aspects of his appearance, although he is limited to only his
hairstyle and skin color.
In flashbacks and on his wanted poster, Gowther is depicted as a large suit of armor,
although he is still smaller than people of the Giants' Clan. His face is never seen,
instead, he is only ever seen wearing a set of full silver body armor with a helmet
featuring a pair of horns, one of which is broken. The most notable part of his armor are
his massive spiked metal shoulder plates.
His Seven Deadly Sins Goat symbol is located on the right side of his chest.
2.5.Merlín
is the Boar's Sin of Gluttony of the Seven Deadly Sins. She is regarded as the greatest
mage in Britannia. Her Sacred Treasure is the Morning Star Aldan, a floating orb she
can summon at will and often uses in conjunction with her spells and her inherent power
Infinity. The name "Merlin" is actually an alias as her true name is unpronounceable to
humans
Ten years ago, Merlin wore a full set of armor with a unique helm that resembled a
beetle, like the rest of her fellow Seven Deadly Sins. This armor set had a long dress,
and she wore high-heeled boots. Merlin's wanted poster depicts her as a young woman
with long dark-colored hair. Her Seven Deadly Sins tattoo is located on the left side of
her neck and is colored red, hence her nickname as the "Crimson Pig".
Ten years afterwards, Merlin was first seen wearing a long violet cloak that covered her
whole body and her face, making her sex ambiguous. When the cloak was ripped apart,
Merlin was shown to look very similar to her appearance on her wanted poster. She is
seen as a slim, attractive, tall woman with three beauty marks below her right eye
(though after her reappearance after Hendrickson's defeat, she appears to only have a
single, lower-placed, larger beauty mark). Her outfit consists of a highly revealing and
open fur collared long coat, with heart shaped buttons, short shorts that resemble panties
with a heart on it, and thigh high boots. Merlin's hair is at shoulder length and black.
After having her magic seal spell reflected back by Chandler's Full Counter, it is
revealed that her true form is that of a child. In this form, she is described as an adorable
child by Chandler with long black hair reaching her mid-back.
She now has burns around her chin and mouth.
2.6.Escanor
is the Lion's Sin of Pride of the Seven Deadly Sins, the former second prince of the
Kingdom of Castellio, and the man formerly known throughout the Kingdom of Liones
as "The Strongest Holy Knight". He is renowned for gaining immense power during the
day, and gradually becoming weaker with the setting of the sun, leaving him frail and
submissive at night. His Sacred Treasure is the Divine Axe, Rhitta. His inherent power
is called Sunshine.
n the wanted poster, Escanor is depicted as a middle-aged man with a beard and a
ponytail hairstyle.
Escanor has a mustache and a pair of glasses. Escanor's attire is a suit commonly worn
by bartenders and although slightly baggy, does appear to fit his non-sunshine form far
better than his previous attire. He temporarily wore spectacles during his first formal
appearance in the plot. His lion symbol is on his back.
Ten years ago, he wore a suit of full body armor with a unique helm (which may be too
large to fit him properly in the early morning or night, and conversely too small to fit
him during the sunlight hours, particularly noon).
Escanor was revealed during the Vampires of Edinburgh side story to be a very meek
and weak looking young man, with short-cut hair and a set of clothes that seemed too
large to fit him. His clothes were made to be intentionally loose so that they fit him
properly when he increases his size.

During the new Holy War, Escanor wears a long-sleeved white jacket that is open at the
front with white fur trimmings on the side of the jacket and white spiky fur on the neck
of the jacket, and an ornamental golden handguard. He wears black pants and a belt with
three rows of studs and a large buckle featuring a sun with spikes around it and studs
around it. He wore white boots that are decorated at the top with a miniature sun and
swirly wing-like designs around it.
III. Enemies Characters

Ten Commandments
are an extremely powerful group of ten elite warriors who are the strongest amongst the
Demon Clan. Handpicked by the Demon King himself, each member possesses a
Commandment, a unique power gifted to them by the Demon King, which delivers a
unique curse to whomever breaks a rule specific to each member. This power is
absolute; it cannot be opposed even by its wielder, although members of the Ten
Commandments are immune to all other Commandments except for their own. The
curses will only be lifted if the victim defeats its wielder or at the victim's death. The
Commandments can be removed from their wielder if he or she gives their consent or if
they are left powerless, unable to fight or die.
IV. Backgroud
Unbeknownst to even most of its members, the Seven Deadly Sins were formed for the
expressed purpose of defeating the Demon Clan's Ten Commandments. The king of
Liones had a premonition through his power Vision, that they would become the
kingdom's protectors. Hearing this, both Meliodas and Merlin (who was only known to
Meliodas at the time) took it upon themselves to find the other five, in order to crush the
Ten Commandments, should they ever be revived.
The members of this group were originally an independent order of knights serving the
kingdom of Liones. They were declared as traitors and villains after being framed for
assassinating Zaratras, the Great Holy Knight, after heeding an order to meet up with
him at the castle. They found him murdered through no fault of their own and were
quickly surrounded by the kingdom's Holy Knights. Meliodas ordered the group to
disperse to avoid capture, and everyone was able to escape separately. It was initially
suspected that one of the members was a traitor who helped in the nefarious plot, as
Meliodas was knocked unconscious shortly after issuing his order. It is later revealed
that Merlin was the perpetrator, and was due to Meliodas losing himself to his anger
when young Elizabeth got hurt trying to help him escape. However, she did ask for
forgiveness. One of the Seven Deadly Sins' feats includes defeating the troll queen, with
them having also broken the Great Druid Altar.
The Seven Deadly Sins before the betrayal were widely known as the strongest knights
of Liones and were greatly admired by several Holy Knights and apprentices, including
Little Gil and Doting Dale. The group was directly under the Great Holy Knight
Zaratras' command.
The Seven Deadly Sins reappeared ten years later in the kingdom, having regathered six
of its members over a short duration. They aided the third princess of Liones, Elizabeth,
helping her liberate the kingdom from the oppressive rule of the Holy Knights and
stopping Hendrickson's plan to release the long-sealed Demon Clan into the world.
Upon Hendrickson's defeat and his villainous plan to revive the Demon Clan being fully
realized by the rest of the kingdom, the Seven Deadly Sins were praised as heroes for
saving the kingdom. They were also cleared of their false crimes, and welcomed back
into the kingdom of Liones once more.
After this, two members of the group separated from the rest, while the other four were
involved in the battle against the Ten Commandments. After joining all once again,
including the last missing member, they decided to take sides to stop the Ten
Commandments. With the exception of Merlin, all the Sins participate in the Great Fight
Festival, that ends with Meliodas being killed by the Ten Commandments.

After a month, Meliodas resucitate and along with Escanor and Merlin, prevents the
Commandments from taking control of Liones. With the rejoining of Diane and King
that were by their one, and Gowther that was temporary imprisoned, the Seven Deadly
Sins were oficially reformed. However, after defeating Melascula in Corand and battle
Chandler, Meliodas was returned to his previous evil state as a result of his emotions
have been taken by the Demon King in his resurrection. Meliodas, having decided to
become the new Demon King to break his curse and that of Elizabeth, officially declares
the dissolution of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The others, however, are not willing to accept it, so they decide to continue fighting
against the Demon Clan and prevent Meliodas from becoming the Demon King.
With the exception of Ban, who goes to the Purgatory hoping to recover the emotions
of Meliodas, the Seven Deadly Sins along with Liones allies with Stigma and the
resurrected Four Archangels to wage a new Holy War.
