SECTION I
GENERAL DETAILS

1.1. Alternate name n-Butyl acetate

Acetic acid butyl ester
Butyl ethanoate

1.2. Product application

Butyl acetate is a good solvent and used in various industrial sectors because of its high flash resistance
and evaporation rate.

The end user industrial application sectors include the following

 Paints, thinners, and lacquers

 Inks
 Video tape binders
 Nitro cellulose
 Nail enamel
 Perfumes and flavouring materials
 Component in synthetic flavours such as apricot, banana, butter, pear, quince, pine apple,
grenadine, butter scotch and raspberry
 As cleaning solvent for silicon wafers
