Stories for Successful LIFE

Introduction:

As a Trainer & Writer, I am often amazed by the power that lies in short stories to
transform one’s thoughts and one’s life.

This book is a compilation of handpicked stories from the internet that motivates us
and remind us of our inner strengths and abilities. None of the stories are written
by me. I have taken the stories from the internet and tried to make them easy to
read for children.

I wish you happy reading

REAL STRENGTH

A young girl and her father were walking along a forest path.
At some point, they came across a large tree branch on the ground in front of
them.
The girl asked her father, “If I try, do you think I could move that branch?”
Her father replied, “I am sure you can, if you use all your strength.”
The girl tried her best to lift or push the branch, but she was not strong
enough and she couldn't move it.

She said, with disappointment, “You were wrong, dad. I can't move it.” “Try
again with all your strength,” replied her father.
Again, the girl tried hard to push the branch. She struggled but it did not move.
“Dad, I cannot do it,” said the girl.

Finally, her father said, “Young lady, I advised you to use 'all your strength'.
You didn’t ask for my help.

Moral:
Our real strength lies not in independence, but in interdependence.
No individual person has all the strengths, all the resources and all the
stamina required for the complete blossoming of their vision.
To ask for help and support when we need it is not a sign of weakness, it is
a sign of wisdom.

True meaning of “Hard work”

A young man went to seek an important position at a large printing

company. He passed the initial interview and went to meet the director for the final
interview. The director looked at his resume, and asked, “Have you ever received a
scholarship for school?” “No,” the man replied. “It was your father who paid for
your studies?” “Yes.” “Where does your father work?” “My father is a blacksmith.”

Then, the director asked the young man to show him his hands. They were
soft and perfect. “Have you ever helped your parents at their job?” the director
asked. Young man said I never helped as they wanted me to study more books all
the time. Director requested him to go home and wash his father’s hand and asked
him to come back tomorrow. That night, when he returned home, he asked his
father if he would allow him to wash his hands. His father felt rather strange about
the request, but agreed. The young man washed his father’s hands, little by little. It
was the first time that he noticed all the wrinkles and scars on his father’s hands.
Some bruises on his hands were so painful that his skin shuddered upon being
touched. It was the first time that the young man recognized what it meant for this
pair of hands to have worked every day to be able to pay for his studies.

After cleaning his father’s hands, the young man stood in silence, then began
to tidy up his father’s workshop. That night, the father and son talked for a long
time.

The next morning, the young man returned to the director’s office. The
director noticed the tears in his eyes.“Can you tell me what you did, and what you
learned yesterday?” he asked the young man. “I washed my father’s hands. When I
finished, I stayed and cleaned his workshop.” He continued, “Now I know what it is

to appreciate and recognize that, without my parents, I would not be who I am

today. By helping my father, I now realize how difficult it is to do something on my
own. I have come to appreciate the importance and the value in helping the
family.” The director looked at him with an earnest expression.

“This is what I look for in my people. I want to hire someone who can
appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the hardship of others. You are
hired.”

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat,

determination, and hard work.

At age 5 his Father died.

At age 16 he quit school.
At age 17 he had already lost four jobs.

On the 1st day of retirement he received a cheque from the Government for $105.

He felt that the Government was saying that he couldn’t provide for himself.
He decided to commit suicide, it wasn’t worth living anymore; he had failed so
much.

He sat under a tree writing his will, but instead, he wrote what he would have
accomplished with his life. He realised there was much more that he hadn’t done.
There was one thing he could do better than anyone he knew. And that was how to
cook.

So,he borrowed $87 against his cheque and bought and fried up some chicken
using his recipe, and went door to door to sell them to his neighbour’s in Kentucky.
Remember at age 65 he was ready to commit suicide.

Concentrate on our Priorities

A boy went to the Principal and said "Madam, I won't be coming to School
anymore.”
The Principal responded “But why?”
The boy said “Ah! I saw a teacher speaking bad of another teacher; You have a Sir
who can't read well; the staff is not good; Students look down upon their fellow
students and there are so many other wrong things happening in the Schooĺ”
The Principal replied “OK. But before you go, do me a favor: Take a glass full
of water and walk three times around the School without spilling a drop on the
floor. Afterwards, leave the School if you desire.”
The boy thought: Now that's too easy!
And he walked three times around as the Principal had asked. When he finished, he
told the Principal he was ready.
The Principal asked “When you were walking around the School, did you see
a Teacher speaking bad about another Teacher?”
The youth replied “no.”
“did you see any Student looking at other students in wrong way?”
“No”
“You know why?”
“No”
“You were focused on the glass, to make sure you didn't tilt it and spill any
water. It's the same with our life. When our focus is on our priorities, we don't have
time to see the mistakes of others.”

Moral of the story:

We should concentrate on our priorities and not on others mistakes.

EGO-Attitude

An engineer in a car manufacturing company designs a world class car. The

owner is impressed with the outcome and praised him a lot.

While trying to bring out the car from the manufacturing area to the showroom,
they realised that the car is few inches taller than the entrance.

The engineer felt bad that he didn't notice this one before creating the car.

The owner was amazed on how to take it outside of the manufacturing area.

The painter said that they can bring out the car and there will be a few scratches on
top of the car which could be touched up later on.

The engineer said that they can break the entrance, take the car out, and later re-
do it.

The owner was not convinced with any ideas and felt like it is a bad sign to break or
scratch

A Watchman was observing all the drama & slowly approached the owner. He
wanted to give an idea if they had no problem.

They wondered what this guy would tell them that the experts could not give.

The watchman said "The car is only a few inches taller than the entrance so, Simply
release the air in the tyre, the height of the car will sink and can be easily taken
out"...

Everyone clapped!!!

Don't analyse the problems only from an expert point of view alone.

There is always a layman's outlook that gives an alternate solution at a given point
of time...

Life issues are also the same....

Many a Times a Friend's Entrance Door Falls Short by a Few Inches, We Feel
Taller!!

Release Some Air (Ego),and Adjust The Height (Attitude).

Buddha Answered

There are 7 puzzles which the Buddha answered

1: "What is SHARPEST thing in this world?"

His people replied simultaneously: " Sword."

Answer Buddha:
The sharpest is the " human tongue"
Because through the tongue, humans easily slander people, hurt the heart, hurt
people's feelings, etc ...

2: What has the MOST distance from us in this world?

Some replied: " Space, the moon, the sun."

Answer Buddha:
The most distant is the " Past".
Whoever we are, however rich we may be, we can NOT go back in time.
Therefore we must make good use of today & days that will come.

3: What is BIGGEST thing in this world?

Someone replied:
" Mountain, Earth, Sun.

"Answer Buddha:
The biggest one in the world is " Lust".

Many humans become wretched because they indulge their lusts.

All modes are justified in order to realize the dream and lust of the world.
Therefore careful with lust ..!

God blesses You

A pregnant woman was seated under a tree very thirsty and she needed water but
there was no water. Suddenly she saw some drops of water dripping from the tree.
She took a cup and started tapping the drops. When water got to half the cup and
she was ready to drink, a bird came and knocked the cup down so the water was
spilled. It happened three times and the woman felt very bad. She took a stone and
killed the bird.
After the bird had died, she saw a big snake coming down from the tree. So she
discovered that what she wanted to drink was not really water but poison. She felt
so guilty that she had killed the bird that saved her life.
Sometimes God is like this bird to us. He knows when we are about to take poison
but we get disappointedwhen actually He is trying to help us. Maybe what you
thought was water was poison. Drop the pain because there's something better for
you.

Put your complete trust in God for our Godis the Most Beneficient, Most Merciful,
Most Loving. He will not let you suffer shame in life.

Just take 2 seconds of your time & say

Shukr Hai bhagwan for the good things God blesses you with everyday.

Excellence

A gentleman once visited a temple under construction where he saw a

sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, “Do you need two statues of the same idol?”

“No,” said the sculptor without looking up, “We need only one, but the first
one got damaged at the last stage.” The gentleman examined the idol and found no
apparent damage. “Where is the damage?” he asked.

“There is a scratch on the nose of the idol.” said the sculptor, still busy with
his work.

“Where are you going to install the idol?”

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high.
“If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?”
the gentleman asked.
The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, “I
know it!”

Moral:

The desire to excel should be exclusive of the fact whether someone

appreciates it or not.
Excellence is a drive from inside, not outside.
Excel at a task today – not necessarily for someone else to notice but for
your own satisfaction.

Brilliant story...!!!
A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another,
but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an
old man who had been fixing ships since he was a
young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he
immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.
Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know
what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled
out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched
into life. He carefully put his hammer away.
The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for
ten thousand dollars.
"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"
So, they wrote the old man a note
saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."
The man sent a bill that read:
Tapping with a hammer........ $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap........ $ 9,998.00

Moral of the story:

makes all the difference.

Law of Attraction
Energy Flows where Attention Goes.
Everything in our Universe is Energy.

We human beings are also Energy. So it is very important to learn how

Energy flows from us & how it effects our lives.

When you say,

“I don’t want War.” You are giving your attention to War and where you give your
attention, your Energy will flow there.

Law of Attraction will match your Energy with that and bring it in your Three
Dimension reality.

So instead of saying, “ I don’t want War.” you should say

“I want Peace.”
Then your attention is on Peace, so you are giving your Energy to Peace and Law of
Attraction will match your Energy with Peace and your life will be Peaceful.

This Universe works on Vibrations.

So similarly change your statements –

– Instead of saying
“ I don’t want to fail.” say
“I want to Win”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to be fat.” say
“I want to be slim”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to have a struggling job” say
“I want to have a happy and exciting job”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to fight with my husband” say
“I want to have a happy relationship with my husband”
and so on.

Our thoughts are very powerful because Energy is transmitted through our
thoughts.

If you think and speak about what you don’t want, you will attract what you
don’t want!
But if you stop talking and thinking about what you don’t want and change your
vocabulary and only think and talk about what you want, then you will start
attracting what you want, and what you don’t want will gradually vanish from your
life.

I believe from today you will stop thinking and talking about things that you
don’t want.

I will suggest you to remove few words from your dictionary like –
Depression/ Hatred/ Failure/ Illness/Disease/ War/ Fights/ Anxiety/ Struggle/ Debt/
Enemies/ Terrible/ Accidents

Changing your thought patterns will help you channelize your Energy & your Life
will Change accordingly.

This will then create a Future with Abundance of Happiness, Joy, Peace & Prosperity

"Whatever You Give To Life, Life Gives You

Back"
The Seed of Honesty A successful business man was growing old and knew it
was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one
of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all
the young executives in his company together. He said, "It is time for me to step
down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you." The young
executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of
you a SEED today – one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it,
and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed
I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose
will be the next CEO." One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the
others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She
helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Every day, he
would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of
the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were
beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three
weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking
about their plants, but Jim didn’t have a plant and he felt like a failure. Six months
went by – still nothing in Jim’s pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone
else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn’t say anything to his
colleagues, however… He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil – He so wanted
the seed to grow. A year finally went by and all the young executives of the
company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he
wasn’t going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what
happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing
moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the
board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by
the other executives. They were beautiful — in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his
empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!
When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.
Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you
have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!" All
of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He
ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He
thought, "The CEO knows I’m a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!" When Jim got
to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed – Jim told him the
story.

ANILKUMAR THONDAMALLA 31
Stories for Successful LIFE

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then
announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer! His
name is Jim!" Jim couldn’t believe it. Jim couldn’t even grow his seed. "How could
he be the new CEO?" the others said. Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I
gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it,
and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead – it
was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees
and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you
substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the
courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one
who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"
• If you plant honesty, you will reap trust.
• If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.
• If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.
• If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment.
• If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.
• If you plant hard work, you will reap success.
• If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
• If you plant faith in God, you will reap a harvest.
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Reply from Mukesh Ambani

Most of the girls want to marry rich guys. It is very unfortunate how men are
reduced to price tags. Similarly, a girl called Pooja Chohan asked Mukesh Ambani
on a forum for tips to marry rich guys like him. She was asking direct questions like
where do rich guys hangout and how can she impress them. Mukesh Ambani’s reply
to this rich husband seeking girl on a forum is totally to the point.
Salute to Mukesh Ambani for being so brutally honest to the girl and trying to make
her see reality.

Here is what the girl wrote:

I’m going to be honest to what I’m going to say here.

I’m 25 this year. I’m very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy
with 100 crore annual salary or above.

You might say that I’m greedy, but an annual salary 2 crore is considered only as
middle class now days..

My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of
100 crore annual salary? Are you all married?

I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you?

Among those I’ve dated, the richest is 50 crore annual income, and it seems that
this is my upper limit.

ANILKUMAR THONDAMALLA 33
Stories for Successful LIFE

If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York
City Garden(?), 50 crore annual income is not enough.

I’m here humbly to ask a few questions:

1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and
addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)

2) Which age group should I target?

3) Why most wives of the riches are only average-looking? I’ve met a few girls who
don’t have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys.

4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend?
(my target now is to get married)

Ms. Pooja I Chohan.

This is the amazing reply Mukesh Ambani gave to the girl:

Dear Ms. Pooja,

I ( Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Group ) have read your post with great interest.

Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please
allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor.

My annual income is more than 100 crore, which meets your requirement, so I
hope everyone believes that I’m not wasting time here.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The
answer is very simple, so let me explain.

Put the details aside, what you’re trying to do is an exchange of “beauty” and
“money”: Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square.

However, there’s a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will
not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from
year to year, but you can’t be prettier year after year.

Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I ( Mukesh Ambani ) am an appreciation

asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It’s not just normal depreciation, but
exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse
10 years later.

ANILKUMAR THONDAMALLA 34
Stories for Successful LIFE

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is
also a “trading position”.

If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long
term – same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this,
but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will
be sold or “leased”.

Anyone with over 100 crore annual income is not a fool; we would only date you,
but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to
marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person
with 100 crore annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps.

(Signed)

Mukesh Ambani

Respect and Forgive

"Our JourneyTogether is so Short"

A beautiful message for all of us....Take a minute please

A young lady sat in a bus. At the next stop a loud and grumpy old lady came and
sat by her. She squeezed into the seat and bumped her with her numerous bags.

The person sitting on the other side of the young lady got upset, asked her why she
did not speak up and say something.

The young lady responded with a smile:

"It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant, the journey
together is so short. I get off at the next stop."

This response deserves to be written in golden letters:

"It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together
is so short"

If each one of us realized that our time here is so short; that to darken it with
quarrels, futile arguments, not forgiving others, discontentment and a fault finding
attitude would be a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart?Be calm, the journey is so short.

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is
so short.

Whatever troubles anyone brings us, let us remember that our journey together is
so short.

No one knows the duration of this journey. No one knows when their stop will
come. Our journey together is so short.

Let us cherish friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to each
other. Let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.

If I have ever hurt you, I ask for your forgiveness. If you have ever hurt me, you
already have my forgiveness.

After all,

Our Journey Together is so Short!

Funny side of Swami Vivekananda

When Swami Vivekanand was studying law at the University College, London,
a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely.

One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room when vivekananda came
along with his tray and sat next to the professor.

The professor said, "MrVivekanand , you do not understand, a pig and a bird do not
sit together to eat."

Vivekanandji looked at him as a parent would a rude child and calmly replied, "You
do not worry professor. I'll fly away," and he went and sat at another table.

Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge.

The next day in Class he posed the following question: "Mr.Vivekanand , if you were
walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and
another bag with money, which one would you take ?"

Without hesitating, Vivekanandji responded, "The one with the money, of course."

Mr. Peters , smiling sarcastically said, "I, in your place, would have taken the
wisdom."

Swami Vivekanand shrugged and responded, "Each one takes what he doesn't
have."

Stories for Successful LIFE

Mr. Peters, by this time was fit to be tied. So great was his anger that he wrote on
Swami Vivekanand's exam sheet the word "idiot" and gave it to Swami Vivekanand.

Vivekananda ji took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk trying very hard to
remain calm while he contemplated his next move.

A few minutes later, Swami Vivekananda got up, went to the professor and told him
in a dignified polite tone, "Mr. Peters, you signed the sheet, but you did not give me
the grade."

Don't mess with intelligent people..

What we give to others comes back to us

Which beautifully illustrates

that what you sow, you reap.
You will get the fruits as per your karma.

"Once upon a time there was a small time business man from a small village who
used to sell butter in the nearby town. A big shop owner in the town was his regular
customer.
The villager used to deliver every month the shop owner the required butter in 1
Kg. Blocks and in turn he used to get grocery items like sugar, pulses etc from the
big shop owner.

Once the shop owner decided to weigh the butter and to his surprise every block of
butter weighed 900 gms. instead of 1kg.
Next month when the villager came to supply Butter, the shop owner was very
angry at him and told to leave the shop, to this the villager replied him courteously
" Sir, I am a very poor villager, I don't have enough money to even buy the
required weights for weighing the butter, I usually put the 1Kg sugar you give me
on one side of Weighing scale and weigh butter on another side"

This simple story very beautifully illustrates that what we give to others comes back
to us.

What Parents expect from us

Mother:
I fought with death when I was giving birth to you. I spent sleepless nights when
you were sick and crying. I never ate without feeding you first. I bore so many
pains to bring you to the stage that you are in today. “How will you repay me my
child?”

Child:
When I grow up, I will find a good job and earn lots of money for you so you can
enjoy the pleasures of this world.

Mother:
Your father is doing this already and I do not expect this from you too. By the time
you are earning I will be old and will not be in need of any worldly luxuries.

Son:
I will find a pious lady and marry her so she can cook for you and take care of you.

Mother:
That is not her duty my son and neither should you marry for that reason. It is not
compulsory on her to do any service to me, neither do I expect this from her. Your
marriage should be for you, a companion and a comfort for you as you go through
this journey of life.

Child:
Tell me mother how can I repay you then?

Mother:
(With tears in her eyes) Visit or call me often. A mother only requires this much
from you while she is alive.
Then when I die give me your shoulder and bury me.
Whenever you perform prayers, supplicate for me.
Give out in charity for me.
Remember your every good deed will benefit me in the hereafter so be good and
kind always.
Fulfill the rights of all those around you.

The sleepless nights and pains I took to bring you up was not a favour to you but
was for my creator. He blessed me with you as a beautiful gift and as a means for
me to attain His pleasure. Your every good deed becomes my repayment.

Will you do it my child...?

Triple filter Test

One day a person met the greatChanakya, and said, "Do you know what I just
heard about your friend?"

" Hold on a minute," Chanakya replied.

"Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test.

It's called the, Triple Filter Test.'

"Triple filter?"

"That's right," Chanakya continued.

"Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment
and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test.

The first filter is Truth.

Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..."

"All right," said Chanakya. "So, you don't know if it's true or not.

Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness.

Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?

"No, on the contrary..."

ANILKUMAR THONDAMALLA 48
Stories for Successful LIFE

"So," Chankaya continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but
you're not certain it's true.

You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left, the filter of
Usefulness.

Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded chankaya, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good
nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"

Use this triple filter each time you hear loose talk about any of your near and dear
ones.
Something really useful to stay on friendships so long

It is worth applying in everyone's life.

and the person who doesn’t like you won’t believe it…

Take care of your soul

TRUTH OF LIFE

There was a man with four wives. He loved his fourth wife the most and took great
care of her and gave her the best.

He also loved his third wife and always wanted to show her off to his friends.
However, he always had a fear that she might run away with some other man.

He loved his second wife too. Whenever he faced some problems, he always turned
to his second wife and she would always help him out.

He did not love his first wife though she loved him deeply, was very loyal to him
and took great care of him.

One day the man fell very ill and knew that he is going to die soon. He told himself,
"I have four wives. I will take one of them along with me when I die to keep me
company in my death."

Thus, he asked the fourth wife to die along with him and keep him company. "No
way!" she replied and walked away without another word.

He asked his third wife. She said "Life is so good over here. I'm going to remarry
when you die"

He then asked his second wife. She said "I'm Sorry. I can't help you this time
around. At the most I can only accompany you till your grave."

By now his heart sank and he turned cold. Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you.
I'll follow you no matter where you go."

The man looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she
suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the man said, "I should have taken
much better care of you while I could have!"

Stories for Successful LIFE

Actually, we all have four wives in our lives.

a. The fourth wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in
making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.

b. The third wife is our possession, status and wealth. When we die, they go to
others.

c. The second wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been
there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

d. The first wife is our soul, neglected in our pursuit of material wealth and
pleasure. It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go.

Always take care of your soul.
