BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES PRACTICALLY HANDLED AS
HEAD – PURCHASE
1) Receiving purchase indents (PI ) from material planning department, reviewing it and
discuss with cross functioning depts.Understand their requirements & Floating inquiries
2) Receiving Offers, Making Comparative Statements & releasing purchase orders to
approved suppliers as per specifications, data sheet, drawing.
3) Able to develop new / alternate vendors to create healthy competition.
( for sheet metal work / fabrication work & machine components either on with material
or labor basis. )
4) Sampling and Verification of material procured from new vendor. Comparing vendor
rates , Negotiating to optimise purchase cost.
5) Close Co Ordination with vendors for ordered material status to maintain scheduled
delivery. If any deviation observed then re- schedule the delivery and giving feedback to
planning department.
6) To maintain MIS reports for purchase activities update w.r.to required production targets
7) Coordinate with stores & quality assurance dept. so that Goods Receipt Advice/Note
(GRA/GRN) for inward material is prepared & cleared in time. Process Supplier bills as
per PO and GRN, approve the same for payment and forwarding it to accounts
department.

9) Receiving feedback of non-conforming material from Quality Assurance / Stores dept. &
send it back to vendor and get replacement at the earliest.
10) Coordinate with material planning dept./Stores for maintaining minimum re ordering
Level (ROL) as per production plan.
11) Familiar with ISO 9001 – 2008 system.
12) Familiar with Supplier Evaluation System (SES) to evaluate vendor in respect of quality of
material against specifications, timely delivery, rejection ratio, timely replacement, credit
term, communication with purchaser and cooperation in urgency.

14) Guide and motivate team of purchase assistants to receive material as per scheduled
delivery date and maintain healthy relations with vendors.
1) Looking after overall operations of Stores I.E. (A) Raw Material Stores (B) General
Stores (C) Finish Patrs Stores
2) Responsible for Inventory level of stores and proper storage and preservation of stock
material. Inform planning / user department when stock reaches at ROL
3) Responsible for verification of physical inventory with book stock. Find out discrepancies
if any and sort it out in consultation with user department
4) Identify Non-moving inventory and slow-moving items and inform Planning
/purchase/Indenting department for this.
5) Return of rejected or non confirming goods to supplier with proper documents.
6) Ensuring Smooth Inward ( Material Receipt ) and Outward ( Material Issue) system
7) Ensure that stock material is issued only on properly authorised MIN /MIS in accordance
with agreed level of authority.
8) Good House Keeping in Store.

10) Maintain updated stock ledgers and maintain documents / records of stock i.e. supplier
challan, POs, GRNs, Inspection Reports etc.
11) Maintain updated records of material lying with outside vendors / parties and
reconciling the same at every quarter / as per set frequency

Established ISO 9001:2000 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM In Aditya Textile
Engineers With the help of external management consultant from the prestigious
BVQI, in September 2005 and renewed it in September 2008 successfully till 2011.
This was mandatory for achieving 20% Government Subsidy under Technology Up
gradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) given to Buyer of Textile Machinery by central
government.
Successfully registered Aditya Textile Engineers as a benchmarked manufacturer with
the office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. Of India.
