CONDUCT ASSESTMENT

1. Good morning everyone, my name is Jeffrey A. Tingson and I will be your

assessor for Housekeeping NC II.

2. I would like to acknowledge the present of our AC Manager, Processing

Officer and TESDA representative. You don’t have to worry about their
presence because they are here to oversee the conduct of assessment and
check if the conduct is in accordance to the prescribed competency
assessment, methodology and procedure.

3. Before we start please submit your admission slip.

4. Please sign the attendance sheet for 3 minutes.

5. I have here with me your accomplish application form and self assessment
guide. This will indicate that you knew and can perform all the unit of
competencies enumerated for Housekeeping NCII. To determine the level of
competencies.

6. I would like to welcome all of you to our assessment center for

Housekeeping NCII. The purpose of our assessment for Housekeeping NCII is to
determine the level of your competencies.

7. The qualification for this is composed of basic common core competencies,

the core competencies are divided into 6:

CORE COMPETENCIES

Provide housekeeping services to the guest

` Clean and prepare room for the incoming guest
Provide valet/ butler services
Laundry linen and clothes of guest
Clean public areas facilities and equipment
Deal with / handle intoxicated guest
8. To determine your knowledge and skills in Housekeeping NCII, the
assessment method that you use will be demonstrated oral questioning. These
assessment methods can help measure your unpinning knowledge and skills.
9. For personal needs, lavatories are located at the left side of the building.
However during the assessment, you are not allowed to leave the premises of
the assessment center.

10. If you have difficulty understanding the given instruction, please don’t
hesitate to inform me because I am very willing to translate it for you. Also,
during written examination, if you have any dilemma, write it down in your
answer sheet. Don’t be shy because we can accept your answer in written or
verbally.

11. If you have concerns, questions or there’s a need for you to clarify matters
concerning the assessment, you may raise your hand because I am more than
willing to assist you. But once the assessment has started please refrain from
asking questions because it is no longer allowed.

12. In case you have question regarding the assessment results, you have the
right to appeal to the TESDA Provincial Office for the assessment center and
assessor accredited.

13. For the issuance of the National Certificate of Certificate of Competency,

the AC manager shall inform you where you can claim the National Certificate
within five days after the assessment.

14. After the assessment, if you are not found competent, don’t worry about it
because you can reassess anytime at your own convenience.

15. In case the assessment is full qualification, you have to go the whole
assessment process. If you have found competent in some units of
competency, the reassessment shall focus in the unit of competency where
you are not yet competent. Also, if you fail two consecutive assessments, you
will be advised to undergo a refresher course before applying for
reassessment.

16. During the actual assessment, please observe safety as you perform the
different tasks. Check your electrical equipment before plugging it. Avoid
pulling the cord as you unplug the equipment.

17. In case of accidents, please call my attention immediately so that we can

provide first aid and should it need rise our medical cabinet is located on the
right side of the kitchen.
18. With regards to the result of your assessment, we observe strict
confidentiality. This is to ensure your integrity. The results will be made
available to the authorized personnel and to the institution where you had an
actual training. In relation to this, the assessment package is kept to a secured
place to guarantee the integrity of it. I request all candidates to refrain from
giving any form of information that took place during the assessment process.

19. Candidates you will be asked to perform the different competencies for
Housekeeping NCII. I will give you four hours to work on it. Oral questioning
and written test will follow after your demonstration. If you have any
questions, you may ask it now because you can’t ask question once the
assessment begins. No more questions? Your four hours start now.

20. I will now assign a number to each one of you. You are 1, 2 ok, please
proceed to the assessment area. Thank you.

21. Okay you perform the ironing. Okay time is up. Please go back to the
waiting area.

22. (at the waiting area). Okay candidates before I announce the result of
assessment; please answer this evaluation sheet for the assessor and the
assessment area. You will do this for 5 minutes, thank you.

For competent.

1. Please sit down candidate #1. How do you feel now?( good answer=
confident). My observation coincides with your opinion. You are competent in
performing the skills needed in Housekeeping NCII. However I have noticed
that you were not able to iron well the lower parts of the pants. Furthermore
you were not confident enough in answering the oral questions but you were
able to answer it correctly. You have also passed the written test.

Candidate # 1, based on the evidence I have collected I have found out that
you are already confident. Please sign the rating. Please sign the Competency
Assessment Result Summary (CARS), detached the copy of the CARS and give it
to the candidate. Congratulation, you can claim your National Certificate 5
working days after the assessment given. Bring copy of the CARS a passport
size ID and 50 pesos certificate fee.
For not yet competent.

Please set down candidate # 2. How do you feel about the assessment ( not
confident) Really? So in that manner, what will you do if you’re asked to revise
your work and present again? What did you learn from the session?

Candidate # 2 you were not able to iron well the dress, however you have
made the safety precautions in using of iron. Based on the evidence I have
collected, the outcome of the assessment is that you are not yet competent.
However you can reassess anytime as long as you prepare. Is it ok with you?
Please sign the rating sheet. Pleases sign the CARS. Detached the copy and give
it to the candidates. I will give the assessment result to the AC Manager. Thank
you
