1. SCOPE: -
This work instruction prescribed the procedure to pack the finished products like Power Pack
and Cylinders, valves etc.

2. WORK PLACE: -
Power pack assembly section.

3. PRODUCTION MATERIALS: -

Final finished goods (Hydraulic & Pneumatic Cylinder and Power Pack, Valves etc).

4. PRODUCTION OVERHEAD MATERIALS: -


(a) Wooden Case
(b) Card Board (Cotton Box) Sheets.
(c) Polythene Sheets
(d) Gunny Sheet
(e) Bale Patty
(f) Clamp
(g) Nail
(h) Waste Papers
(i) Wooden Reaper
(j) Tape
(k) Thermo Cool Sheet.
(l) Thread.

5. SHOP EQUIPMENT: -
(a) Bailing Machine
(b) Hammer
(c) Clamper
(d) Screw Driver
(e) Needle

6. MACHINE INVENTORY NO. : - NA

7. PROCESS PARAMETER: -
Ensure upright direction of assembly/products while packing.

8. PREPARATION OF WORK :-
(a) Check the size of the box before packing the products
(b) Cut polythene sheet to suite the size of the products
(c) Keep all the related packing materials read.

9. PRECAUTION TO BE TAKEN: -

1. Wear Shoes
2. Take care while nailing and handling

10. PROCESS STEPS : -

1. Ensure the product has been labeled and ports are plugged and customer threads are protected at
respect place before packing
2. Bind/Cover with polythene sheet
3. Beneath the wooden box put sufficient waste papers
4. Place the product inside the box (in case of heavy job bolt it from the Bottom) see the products
are rigidly fixed to base of the box.
5. Protect all Valves, Spools, Coils, Din Connector, and Gauges etc. with thermo cool packing. So
that there should not be any damage to the products.
6. Put sufficient packing to all gaps and nail with reaper.
7. Put packing slip/instruction manual (if any) inside the box before nailing the lid, Bolt/Nail the
Top plate.
8. For Hydraulic Cylinder and Pneumatic Cylinder other than Wooden Box Gunny Bundle packing
may also be used depend upon the size and type of Cylinders. For such packing use polythene
wrapping then card board (cotton) paper wrapping with gaps filled by waste paper and finally
with Gunny Bundle stitched with nylon threads if necessary use thermo cool also.
9. For Manifold with Valves only wooden box should be used.
10. Bind with bail patty for wooden packing, two or more for bigger sizes and one round for smaller
size i.e. less than 15”
11. Write necessary precautionary slogans on the box like handle with care, Top side up etc. and
also the address of the consignee.

11. INSPECTION:-

1. The packed item inside the box should not shake


2. Ensure all the related items are packed in side as per documents.
3. Check the consignee address

12. POST TREATMENT:-

Hand over to store for despatch.

POWER PACK: -

1. Check the Punching / Labeling on AB-PT etc. are done.


2. Check, Tank oil drained out and plugged properly by suitable plugs.
3. Instruction and caution Nameplate are fixed on right place according to drawing /
instruction.
4. Check the painting finishing as per work instruction – F-WI-08.
5. Check the unit layout finished as per the Customer Requirement / Layout / Design out to
ensuring the no deviation.
6. Check the packing being carried out as per work instruction – F-WI-09.
