Current affairs of Pakistan

Every country has its own affairs which sometimes comes up on the air and
spread all around the world. Pakistan is one the country that is always remained
at top of the biggest controversy due to its political affairs, terrorism and foreign
relations.
Tahreek Insaaf Government
Panama Papers: Since the last few years, Pakistan has a biggest scandal of
corruption and money laundering to abroad by its Ministers in the shape of
Panama Papers. Apparently, Panama Papers containing the most sensitive data
from 70s to till now. In Panama Papers, some the biggest names of N-league
government has been raised due to ling case against the chairman of PML-N by
Tehreek-e-Insaaf. After the investigation which is carried out by NAB after taken
the order from Supreme Court of Pakistan, decision came in favor of PTI.finally
disqualied the Prime Minister. After that Imran Khan took the oath for office of
the prime Minister of Pakistan. Many issues startedto raise which are disscued
below.

Economy
Currently, Pakistan’s economy is going through a rough patch. Some economic
parameters are declining while others remain somewhat stagnant
Many discussions regarding the deteriorating situation of Pakistani economy
have surfaced since the devaluation of Pakistani rupee against US dollar in the
domestic market. Subsequently, oil prices increased significantly by 9.5pc, which
caused uproar within the nation
Moreover, our foreign exchange reserves are eroding. Foreign exchange reserves
held by the State Bank of Pakistan were shrinking by 3pc on a weekly basis,
according to data released by the central bank in the month of May
Right now the doolar has reached 156 rupee and went highest to 163 rupee which
is also effecting our economy due to the raising prices of everyday product and
imports.
Right now huge taxes have ben imposed on imported smartphones and local and
imported cars. Due to these Heavy taxes imposed by PTA on smartphones the
local market has been going down the slope for a while now.
Similarly due to taxes imposed on Cars, a lot of manufactures like toyota and
honda have put a halt to their their production as no one can afford such heavy
taxes, due to these issues econmy is going down and government is trying to take
some steps to reduce these heavy taxes and duties.

Kashmir

A presidential decree issued on August 5 revoked Article 370 of India's

constitution that guaranteed special rights to the Muslim-majority state, including
the right to its own constitution and autonomy to make laws on all matters except
defence, communications and foreign affairs.

In the lead-up to the move, India sent thousands of additional troops to the
disputed region, imposed a crippling curfew, shut down telecommunications and
internet, and arrested political leaders.

The move has worsened the already-heightened tensions with

neighbouring Pakistan, which downgraded its diplomatic relations with India.

Pakistan has proved again and again in its talks that it has no intention of going
to war with inda as war will only bring instability in the region and wants to
solve te Kashmir issue through diplomatic channels, but Indian prime minister
seems to be using the Kashmir issue to gain support for the upcoming elections.

The prime minister of Pakistan has been making forieng visits to urge the leaders
of the world and the Un to take a stand on the Kashmir issue.

However the Kashmir issue is not that simple because india has a great influence
in the world and no leader would like to disrupt their own relations with india so
in order for us to stand on equl ground on international level we nedd to improve
our economy and our educational system and we need to show our influence in
the world only then can we resolve the Kashmir issue.

Education
As of January 2019, Pakistan vows to raise literacy rate from 58% to 70% in
four years by providing school access to the approximately 22.8 million students,
improving the education system among all ages with modern technology
Unfortunately, no one focused on practical implementation and still, low or
middle-class families have no access to quality education in Pakistan due to the
high fees of private institutions.

Pakistani Education System is unable to educate the students with practical skills
rather they only read books to pass exams.

Due to this issue, even degree holders don’t have any skill to utilize and earn a
happy life. They only depend on the jobs which also need practical skills in this
modern age.

We are teaching 20+ years old syllabus to our students which is just a joke with
the education.
backbone of the Education system of every country. Teachers are given a special
type of Training to teach students in a better and friendly way.

Unfortunately, In Pakistan, No quality teachers are provided to students. In fact,

those who become unsuccessful in their field and they don’t know what to do
with their degree now? they join teaching.

Most of the students, they have no idea at the primary level that what field he/she
should choose to specialize in. It is very unfortunate that there is no counseling
provided in Pakistani schools and even colleges.

Education is considered as a profitable business in Pakistan. Day by day, new

institutes are opening not to provide quality education but to benefit from the
lack of schools by govt. and earn a huge amount by charging very high fees.

HealthCare
Punjab’s new government has been in a mad dash to fulfill its vowed programs a
nd projects. As expected, the incumbent government, under the new frontman,
is taking up the task of
executing its promises with full throttle. The launch of the Seat Card Scheme
seems that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) plans of healthcare reforms are
set in motion.
Moreover,
a major project in Rawalpindi is the recent highlight of the health sector. The
construction of the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology is underway and the completi
on will be set as a benchmark for future holders of the office.

further funds have been cleared to avoid any
miscarriages. The project is likely to cost around Rs 4030 million.
Furthermore,

(YDA), the health minister

from poor air quality. The climatic changes and global warming are most
