COURSE DESCRIPTION
Problems to define volume in accordance with the principles of Chiaroscuro and the use of various media
to render forms are central to the administering of the course. The ability of the students to organize the
visual elements by transforming them as a creative whole where they exert the capacity to apply various
techniques and media are given emphasis. Throughout the full exertion of creativity, varied techniques
and media explored. The development of artistry from drawing to painting defines artistic transition.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The phenomena of perception and the concept of form in the visual arts are the main focal points of this
course. Students are required to conduct an exploration of the elements through the use of the visual
language whereas they develop a new way of seeing. Through this process, they exhibit the capacity to
demonstrate how visual language is applied in art production where they develop discipline. By
employing this as an essential tool, students create meaningful works of art.

Basic art materials are analyzed through their nature and possibilities. The skills intended for
development pertains to the student’s ability to understand the different properties and characteristics of
art materials. The course also includes the exploration and manipulation of basic art materials to achieve
an understanding of three dimensional forms. Technical skills and knowledge as well as the personal
expression and imagery undergo development.
