4. Credits 3 Units (2 hours lecture | 3 hours laboratory)
5. Course Description Fundamental concepts necessary for the construction of web pages using
the basic building blocks of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). HTML and XHTML are covered in detail for
building web pages using web page development environment. The use of
styling using CSS is introduced.
6 Course Objectives This course provides the following objectives:
 Explain web site and its development;
 Introduce a web tool for crafting a web page and site;
 Create a multimedia site on the web. Define various terms relative
to web development;
 Identify and define a site and site control;
 Perform document basics and linking;
 Format fonts, CSS, paragraphs and test in tables; and
 Publish the crafted web page.

7. Assignments are due at the given due date unless changed by the Instructor. If for any
reason the Student has missed a class, they are still responsible for handing in all
assignments at the next class
8. Pass the course, the students must attain the required passing percentage in their final
grade
